Beard Papa's — Restaurant in Gilbert

I love this place but I don't have vehicle and ordered them thru doordash. They haven't turned on there doordash ordering system in over 3 weeks and I think it's because of very poor management and them running out of product. Their website says they are supposed to be open from 10am to 9pm but they come in an hour late and close an hour early every day which seems really really lazy for a store that already only opens 4 days a week. My guess is this location is franchised . It's a shame to see such a great name and product get reduced to such poor management and lazy owners when there are so many customers out there wanting to buy their cream puffs. I've never seen a buisness who's been willing to turn down customers and their money which is exactly what they have been doing by not accepting doordash orders for customers who are outside of the 5 mile range and can't get delivery thru other...

I was excited for this to open in Gilbert but was unfortunately underwhelmed. When I think of cream puffs, I imagine a thick, flavorful custard filling and these were runny and watered down. I tried the chocolate shell with vanilla filling, Oreo shell with chocolate filling, Churro shell with vanilla filling, and green tea shell with vanilla filling.

I found the Oreo and chocolate way too sweet. I am a self-proclaimed chocolate lover but these were too much. The green tea had a subtle flavor but the Churro one was my favorite...sweet enough but not overbearing. The shop is very, very small with no indoor seating. The price is a little steep for a single cream puff and I just felt they weren't worth what you got,...

Delicious cream puffs. They are huge and absolutely worth the price tag. Green tea, mild and herby. Lemon, scrumptious. Vanilla, superb.

However! I have a gripe to pick with 2 items. 1st the chocolate filling is hardly decipherable from the vanilla in flavor. 2nd the s'mores flavor is a bit of a joke. In the picture on the menu you get, what looks like, a homemade toasted mallow floating gently on your cream puff. In real life they just chucked on a few low price pre made mini mallows from the grocery store on top of a chocolate capped cream puff. Along with this the flavor of a s'more is not just chocolate and marshmallow, where is the graham flavor? Don't try to fool me. You sell chocolate marshmallow flavor....
