We've never been to one, but my kids got 2 kids free meals certificates (for reading a good number of books) from the library so we decided to try it when we were hungry after a long day of fun. They each ordered the kids meal of 2 chicken fingers with organic milk (glad they had that option instead of just sugary juice) and fries.
We ordered 2 extra sides of fries for us as we weren't that hungry and didn't know if their chicken would be mostly batter or what. The gal who took our order was patient as I asked how big the coleslaw side and fries 🍟 would be. The mgr walked over to approve the free kids meals certificates and asked her if they're legit ones (as apparently there's some fakes that are not stamped by the library? Or so I overheard...).
The food was freshly made and was piping hot after maybe like 5-10m. My kids enjoyed the fries the most of course as we did too even though they are just frozen crinkle cut fries 🍟 (this icon is so fun 😆), and my fries loving husband even liked them. They gave us a lot of fries in the side orders. The sauce was so good for everything, it's like a thousand island but a bit different as it's got what looks like pepper in it but no relish. The chicken 🐔 fingers were surprisingly delicious, super hot so we had to wait to eat them, but they were good.
This location was fine, clean enough, but not much in the way of atmosphere for a fast food place. Overall, we enjoyed our first and only visit and we'll probably come back, hopefully all the MANY locations are...
Read moreSurprisingly good food. I usually spend $30-40 on dinner if I take out. My husband and I don’t take out but maybe every ten days give or take. We spent 23.00. That’s slightly less than Chik fil a. We had leftovers here and really I enjoyed their chicken. It was the most tender chicken I’ve ever had. Not only is it moist, there is good flavor. I’m a cook and it takes a lot for me to say a place is good and I recommend it, confidently this is good. Hot, crispy yet extremely tender. I might even swear they marinate their chicken in milk ( common practice among home cookers). I’m not saying this is gourmet dinner obviously but it’s above respectable! Way up the scale of fast food joints, even Red Robin isn’t this tasty or consistent. 20.00 for good chicken for two hungry people, I had a large piece bucket and husband the medium, Frys weren’t seasoned but we ordered them fresh and extra crispy. They were perfect, not soaked in grease, not hard crunchy not soggy but perfect crinkles. We ordered the Texas toast buttered on both sides. I liked the bread but Husband said he did not. No coleslaw for us, instead they allow you to substitute with extra fries or toast! OH, and the very best part was the dipping sauce for free was really good! Serious sauce/dip was very good! That’s it, I could go on. It’s a solid 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️...
Read moreAlways a reliable go-to meal for chicken fingers, this place takes the concept of limited menu and implements it without a flaw. The drive-through can get backed up based on the popularity of their dishes, but they manage to move people through quite quickly here as they manage kitchen flow successfully. The remoulade-style dip gives the otherwise pedestrian chicken fingers just the right complementary flavor to make them delightful, as while chicken fingers cooked right (like these are) are often tasty, they fall on the bland side without something to otherwise elevate them. The sauce does it. The big chunk of Texas toast to me is just a filler, although some in my friends and family love it. The crinkle fries are a great complement to the fingers, and I do like their take on the coleslaw side (right balance of sweet and tangy). If you haven't tried, it is worth it to give it a spin; and I like this location because there is ample room to enter the drive through line without risk of being backed up onto a city street (such as is the case at the Baseline and...
