First the owners are very nice and helpful. I recently had to adjust my diet to gluten-free, dairy-free for health reasons, and was happy to find a place that had multiple options, with people working who were knowledgeable of each product they sell. The location is good too. Although the inside seats are limited, they have a nice patio, right next to The Coffee Shop and Joe’s Farm. I love coming to that area so was hoping the food would be great, but that’s where they lost me. I tried the crêpes first and I found the ingredients a very wierd mix, and not at all tasty. After a few bites, even though I was hungry, I had to toss it. Tried the gluten free Coffee cake. That was good enough for a few bites but that too didn’t have me wanting more. Although it wasn’t horrible, I would not buy again. I didn’t want to give up on this place so I went back a week later and asked for their gluten-free bagel with dairy free cream cheese. Theirs was cashew. Again I could only last a few bites. Everything I have bought so far was severely lacking and taste. I’ve only been on this diet for a few months, but I make things at home that follow its restrictions and still have good flavor. Unfortunately I have not found that...
Read morePros first: I went there Monday 5/20/19 with coworkers and we all really enjoyed it. One of my coworkers had the veggie burger of the week with sweet potato fries and the other coworker and I had the breakfast sandwich with a naan bun. All of us thought the food was tasty and the ambiance nice. Cons: I returned on Wednesday 5/22/19 and tried the veggie burger of the week that my coworker had and wasn't enthusiastic about the texture (it needed to either be cooked longer or needed more binding agents to hold it together because it was basically mashed sweet potatoes on a bun). I went back to the counter to tell them about this in hopes that maybe they would offer to cook it longer or exchange it for something else. Instead the male owner with an attitude told me it is the way their burgers are and said he would give a refund. I was shocked by this rude exchange because he and his co-owner were so nice on Monday. I don't think i'll be back because I value excellent customer service. This exchange sort of ruined my evening which was supposed to be a happy hour/wind down from work because my friends all had food (from the Pizza place in Barnone) and I was...
Read moreOne of the best vegan restaurants in country hidden away in Gilbert, AZ! One of my favorites after only a few visits. What a find and what a gem from start to finish. If you want to eat well, feel well and be well. Give this place a try and thank myself every other five star review on here. Whole food plant based and fun for mind, body and spirit. We went three days straight and wished we could do three years. Proverbial needle in a haystack. Well done and such a cute couple that run it. If this type of food was in every town, not only would the country be eating better, they would feel amazing. None of that post meal regret of saying why did I eat that, only a desire to come back tomorrow. Big thanks to The Uprooted Kitchen for knocking it out of the park. Forgot to take more photos as wasn’t planning on a review....
