City Brew Coffee — Restaurant in Gillette

Just moved here and went to try the coffee. The baristas are incredibly nice and were patient helping me understand their menu and what options I had to drink/eat. Bathrooms were really clean. My only 'complaint' is the seating. I wish the high tops were actual chairs, as I hate sitting on stools -- that's a personal preference though. The other tables seemed too small to have a laptop, papers and my coffee on. The larger tables that weren't high tops, were all kind of close together in the center of the room. I think that'd make it hard to focus if I was working on something important. Also, I'm a short girl and their drink pick-up area is insanely tall! It has to be 5' off the ground, which is fine but the normal height for the majority of other coffee houses is waist-level. I used to love coming here but now the quality is usually pretty poor. My order which is the same every time is always very inconsistent. I ordered a skinny sandwich which is supposed to have egg white, turkey bacon, and Gouda on it but instead had a round yellow egg that was half the size of the sandwich. It’s already pricey for a microwaved breakfast sandwich with one piece of flimsy turkey bacon but then for it to not even have what it says it has on it. I was very disappointed this morning. If they are going to substitute items I feel they should let us be aware of those changes before buying the item. I took off the bacon but here is the egg they replaced the egg white with. The coffee is good, and the snack selection is ok. If your use to more of a Starbucks environment you will not be impressed. There are a few tables to spread out a little if you need to work on homework and use your laptop, but they are in a booth that is uncomfortable to sit in. The rest of the tables are small and round and most are high top tables with chairs that have no backrest. Comfortable for a stool but it does not leave any room to hang a coat if needed. The WiFi is decent and does not require a proxy login like Starbucks, and if you happen to use Google WiFi assistant it will automatically give you an option to connect using there built in VPN.
