After reading some of the reviews, I gave this place a 2 instead of a 1, simply because so many positive reviews makes me wonder if these kids may have been having a really rough day or two.
My husband and I love to try new places, and since we're spending a week here in Gillette, we took the opportunity to cruse the town looking for something unique, and this place caught our eye. We love a good burger joint! Unfortunately, the experience we received today was definitely not what we had hoped for and rather disappointing to boot.
To start, our cashier was on her first day, and the two boys in the back were not very helpful despite her requests, so it ended up taking 10 minutes to order our meals. Which we're very patient we understand, no big deal. Plus it wasn't as long a wait to receive our order. So that was nice.
When we tried to get our drinks from the soda fountain, they tasted strange, so we alerted the cashier, and between the 3 of them there, they couldn't figure out how to fix it. So we just drank tea.
Now unfortunately when we got our order, my burger was not what i had ordered (this one had Jalapeño and no bbq sauce) but by this time they were so busy and struggling to keep up with the orders they had, that i simply scraped off the peppers instead of trying to get it fixed. The half I ate was really dry, but the flavor was very nice.. seasoning was spot on and the cheese melted perfectly. My cheese curds were also fantastic. My husband got the loaded fries with cheese, which the fries themselves were also great! Fresh, crispy and perfectly salted, but the cheese was just shredded and tossed on top, it didn't melt or anything, and halfway through the fries he found mold on the cheese. :( So we said let's toss it and get outta here.
As for the state of the dinning room.. the floor was very sticky, it made my toddler giggle as his feet made a strange noise on it. 80% of the tables were blocked off and the ones left were quite dirty as well. And the bathrooms needed tons of tlc.
Like I said before, I'm sure these kids were just having a rough shift or two. I've been there, I get it. But sadly, I probably won't be back to find out. We don't make it up this way often, and we've learned in our many years of trying new places, that sometimes they don't get any better the second...
Read moreThis review is a hard one to write.... normally their food is great...however on this day it was a larger order to go that was placed online. When I got to the storefront they weren't busy and the guy at the cash register was very arrogant. He was talking to what I would assume to the manager like she was trash...telling her how he would only do this or that and he complained about his social life and that she didn't give him the right hours and NEVER shut his mouth the whole 20 plus minutes I was in there. I order 4 sandwiches each had specifics and all of them were wrong...wrong bread, wrong toppings something. $50 plus bill I was so sad to deliver to my son school for his birthday lunch...yes I called...
Read moreFirst off, the good: food was delicious. I got the Pesto Peak Italiano and my wife got the Wild Turkey, both of which, albeit very messy and poorly assembled, were amazing for flavor.
The bad: $27 for two six inch sandwiches and a small drink? Left hungry and disappointed in the portion size for what we paid. Both bathrooms had a sign in the door that said âknock, this door doesnât lockâ and both had some nasty baby changing table that looked like they were peed on regularly and the baby changing pads were cut into and torn up. Definitely in need of throwing away. Also, every table was dirty despite only one other couple being there and the someone peed everywhere in one of...
