Great Wall Restaurant — Restaurant in Gillette

Update: We use to love this place, the food use to be good, and the service use to be excellent (over a year ago)! However over the recent months the service has been EXTREMELY TERRIBLE!! Food is not as good as it use to be! 3 different times I ordered the same thing (30 minutes before going on my lunch break to assure the food would be ready by the time I went on break & go pick it up): 1 large beef fried rice & 1 large wonton soup... that's IT!!! All 3 times I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes... all 3 times I went to pick it up well after 30 minutes... all 3 times it took over an hour to get these 2 small things.... the last time it took an hour and a half! The wonton soup was so old the juice looked grey in color... like it had been sitting there all day! All 3 times my manager had to let me run down to pick it up once it was FINALLY ready & I had to eat it while working!! Also... all 3 times, other customers too had been waiting there, standing around for over 45 minutes, waiting on their takeout orders too!! It's so disappointing to see how down hill this place has gone, how terrible the customer service is now, we haven't been back in months and don't plan on it.... at least not until new management comes in and turns this place around... the way it use to be over a year ago!! I don't recommend this place and I wouldn't waste your time & money.... it's not worth the ridiculous wait time to get old, cold, food, & TERRIBLE...

Quick delivery. They forgot my other egg drop soup, but I called & she said I'll have a free one for next time. The sauce for the orange chicken is absolutely horrible!!! The sweet & sour isn't that great either. The chicken itself had more fried bread/batter than chicken & was a little dry. I'm not fond of french fries as the other option for the kids meal that already had fried overly sweet chicken & lomein. I do like that they delivered the orange chicken with the sauce separate so that it wasn't mushy. I sincerely hope that they at least start making their own sauce or investing in something better. I couldn't even stand the smell of the sauce. The steamed rice was soft & good though. The soup was hot & decently yummy as well.

*Update: I got my free soup, but I'm continually so underwhelmed by their food. Honestly the saddest curry I've ever had. The Lomaine is dry & tastes like cardboard. The soup is only ok. I'd be slightly more happy if they at least offered Thai teas or padthai, but I guess they're just not that kind of restaurant. I truly hope that they update their menu, especially for the kids, to have healthier options. I give them 2.5 stars at best. I'm not doing 3 because I don't understand how the ratings are as high as they are. I guess many ppl in Gillette have never had decent...

Trying all of the Chinese restaurants over the past 36 years in Gillette, has to offer, this restaurant is absolutely fantastic 👍💓clean establishment, very friendly and professional, great prices, food is fantastic less greasy and more fresh than some of the others that I will be nice and not name 🙄I never thought much about food plating techniques, but the first thing I said when my meal was brought out was WOW👍💓 I heard the same thing from the couple sitting next to us when their food was brought out as well, The food we have ordered was plated in a very stylish, clean, appealing, manner, large portions & the food was absolutely to die for🙏this now is going to be my go-to Chinese restaurant in all of Gillette and as stated before I have tried all of them over the past 36 years, everything about this place is 👍 two thumbs up 👍 give it a try you will not be sorry, I just hade to write this review a couple hours after eating at this fine establishment they definitely earned it 💯👍 I WILL definitely...
