Sapporo Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Gillette

Decent food, lousy service. Went on a busy Friday night, so our expectations of service were appropriate for the busyness of the restaurant. We got in and seated rather quickly. at a booth, not at the Hibachi tables. I ordered the Filet Medium Rare. When the food came my Filet was cooked well done, not a hint of pink. the food was dropped off and we didn't see the server again. About 20 minutes later I flagged down someone I believe was the manager. I explained the situation, she said, "Ok, I give you discount" and abruptly left She at least did send someone back to refill our drinks at this point. We finished our meal and waited quite a while finally saw our server again who went and got the check. No discount. so I try to flag down the manager, she sees me and says "oh yeah" then disappears. ten minutes or so later shows up at our table, I asked about the ticket and she said "but you ate it all" to which I replied. I was hungry and you left me no option. you said you would discount it. she then was obstinate that since I ate it there would be no discount.

Stay away. Absolutely the worst dining experience of our lives. The wait staff is horrible and extremely rude. My wife and I arrived a little before 9pm and they close at 10. We were seated promptly and given menus. The waitress came back after a few minutes and wanted to take our drink orders while continuing to look at her watch. My wife ordered her drink first and as I was looking at the drink menu (maybe 10 secs) she had her watch up towards her face implying that I need to hurry up and she doesn't have time for us. Mind you, there were about 10 other customers dining at the time and they were not at all busy. There were 2 other servers and the manager and at one time or another all 3 waited on us and they were just as rude. One of the servers (I have no idea which one at this point) literally reached in front of me as I was taking my last bite and grabbed my plate. Also, a couple came in after us and the staff was just as rude. Other things; playing explicite language music with kids in the next booth, standing around 10 feet from us and loudly gossiping, shutting all the lights off but our section. We were out by 10pm. This business is filthy! I don’t know how they stay open. There is so much remodeling needing done. Ceiling tiles missing, dirty mop water sitting around, the floors, doors, greasy dusty light fixtures right over your plate. It’s VERY CLEAR to see! It’s no way this place is passing health inspection. It’s a very busy place surprisingly… why not fix the place up? You definitely have the funds! ALSO please ask for a menu when ordering in or out!They will switch up prices quick and charge you $1.50 for 3 tiny cups of white sauce(yum yum)..when you never even got the 1 free yum yum they offer with a $26 dollar meal (LUNCH SPECIAL)!!!! Manager is rude and employees stand around talking and don’t know pricing or really anything you ask them. Will not spend another dime with them. I want to spend with a business that’s taking pride in their location. The manager also said she doesn’t care about the white sauce..she will give out however many. Why charge $1.50 for 3 then? 1 of which should have been free. The bill just never makes sense and I seriously hope they clean/fix this...
