The food is good. The atmosphere is good. The drawback is the service. The wait staff doesn't write down orders, so more often than not, the food has to get sent back to prepare the order properly.
Another issue I have is that I am that person who wants my change back, and I want to decide the tip to give. If you like to balance your checkbook and you pay with a credit or debit card, there are two waitresses that will ADD another $1.00 or $2.00 in addition to what tob what you've already given for a tip. They wait until you leave and add that money. If you pay cash and like to collect your change in a jar, this place won't give you your coin change back to you. They automatically keep it.
Depends on if you care about your server giving your change back and adding another buck or two to your bill on how you feel about this issue. Some people don't care, some do. The food is good.
This IS a great place for family birthday party celebrations. They give a delicious free dessert and sing Happy Birthday,...
Read moreMy visit to this restaurant, something I would remember for long time. My first time to this beautiful town, Gillette, WY. Plenty of Mexican restaurants around. I decided to try this one. Beautifully decorated, the hostess, super nice, She took me to my table and this was all. 14 min seating there, a being completely ignored, just two friendly flys, I named them Juana and Maria. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't really hungry and no in a hurry, but I thought, if this is the welcome,, look like I would be here for a long time. In almost every single Mexican restaurant, once you seat, in just a few minutes, you got chips and salsa in front of you, it took me by surprise being ignored, except for my two friends, for long time. I decided to leave, not before letting them know, my disappointment,, If you visit this unique place, Gillette, avoid this restaurant, there is plenty of similar choices,...
Read moreService was great, seated quickly and drinks on the table quick. Server was pleasant and attentive. On this time though the food lacked some of the quality as experienced in last visits. This time the salsa was just liquid when in the past it was more than just tomato juice with some spice. We ordered the chicken enchiladas and tamales. While flavor was decent the tamales were lacking filling and what was mostly masa was rather dry, maybe overcooked. Usually we order extra tamales to go since we don't live in Gillette for future enjoyment but, we decided to forgo it this time due to the quality. This is the first time the food wasn't near what we expected however, we will stop by again while passing through Gillette as the hope is this was just a bad day...
