Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers — Restaurant in Glassboro

After hearing all the buzz surrounding Raising Cane’s, I decided to check out the Glassboro location not long after its initial opening. With high expectations, I pulled into the drive-thru—which, to its credit, was relatively quick and efficient.

I ordered the 4 tender platter, hoping for a satisfying introduction to what so many have raved about. Unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. First, the price was absurd—not just in relation to the portion size, but more so for the quality of the food itself.

The chicken tenders were shockingly bland, lacking even the most basic seasoning. For a restaurant that builds its identity around chicken, it was a disappointing miss. The Cane’s Sauce, which is often touted as their saving grace, had almost no flavor to redeem the meal. The French fries were soggy and cold, and the Texas toast was no better—limp, greasy, and just as lukewarm.

Ironically, the standout item on the platter was the coleslaw—fresh, tangy, and unexpectedly the most enjoyable part of the meal.

I don’t understand how a chicken chain could serve unseasoned chicken, especially with such a strong reputation preceding it. I gave two stars solely for the quick service and the friendliness of the employees, who were courteous and efficient.

Today was our first time ever visiting a Raising Cane’s. This Glassboro location is only about a half hour from where we live so we decided to give it a try and OHHH MYYY GOODD 😍😍😍😍 The chicken was so moist and so juicy we just licked our fingers clean no need for napkins! 😋 hot, fresh, well seasoned, and perfectly fried with hot clean oil The fries were also perfectly fried, crispy, pillowy, and perfectly salted Don’t even get me started on the Cane’s Sauce!! 🤤🤩 I NEED that recipe asap!!!! It’s addictive!!

To put the cherry on the top when we entered Cane’s the place was immaculately clean and well cared for. Throughout the entire time we were inside eating there where workers actively cleaning everywhere, filling supplies, and also stopping to check on customers to make sure they were okay This place has customer service down like I haven’t seen in years! Not even close to being worth all the hype at all. I couldn't believe how limited their menu was. I was at least thinking there would be salads, soup or some dessert options...nope. Tenders with coleslaw/ toast for a side (weird) are literally all they have. I ordered the sandwich combo for my son, and the kid's tenders for my daughter. The fries were barely a handful for the combo, and barely any for the kid's meal either. They werent very hot to add to the frustration. For almost $40, not to mention all the hype about this place, we expected more, and better quality food. The chicken had no seasonings whatsoever. They depend on the customer drowning their chicken in the Cane sauce for flavor. Not everyone wants sauce.
