I just came from the Glastonbury location right now and I will never go back. When we walked in it was pretty dead we stood there waiting for a hostess no one showed up so we sat in the bar area. Finally a waitress saw us and gave us some menu's. We both ordered Coronaritas. The waitress went to give the bartender our orders then came back to get our food orders when she came back she told us the bartender was upset because she has never made a Coronarita before. I should have took that as a red flag but I just said I hope its good then. We ordered our food i ordered the fajitas and he ordered the new smoke house combo (ribs, chicken, suasage). She brings back our drinks she spills some of it on the floor does not offer to get another drink and they were full of ice i had to ask for a extra cup to take the excessive ice out of the drink (she did warn us the bartender did not know how to make it) she also handed us napkins and said here you go because i spilled some of your drink (instead of cleaning it up herself) I left the napkins there . 5 min later waitress comes and tells us they dont have the chicken for the combo (Another red flag) he said ok he will just have the ribs and sausage. When our food comes she brings out my fajitas the sides and then the meat (steak and shrimp) and says enjoy your meal. Im like hold on im missing something it's suppose to come with rice and beans it says it in the menu. I waited a few minutes waitress never came to us so my fiance got up and asked her about the missing food and she said that they dont bring it out unless you ask for it and I said I did not know I needed to ask for something that is included in my meal on the menu. The waitress went on to say not everyone eats it and usually when they bring it out the food gets waisted. I said ok well i want it. Then i thought to myself it does not matter if I eat it or not its included with my meal and we are paying for the meal so if i eat it or not its still paid for. So she brings me the rice and beans i tasted it and realized why no one eats it. It was HORRIBLE. So back to the rest of the food his ribs were lacking meat and he had about 5 small pieces of sausage they also forgot to give him the dill pickles and i realized they also never gave me the salsa but we were tired of complaining so we just asked for the check. I see that other people have been complaining also I should have read reviews...
Read moreAbsolutely awful customer service. Ordered through their website to go, for curbside pickup, where they bring it to your car. Husband gets there, no food. 40 minutes go by with very little info or updates. Apparently door dash took the food. How, when it was not to be put by door dash, is beyond me. So they remake the food, without even telling my husband who is waiting there in their location with no updates. They offer a free dessert as we get closer to one hour. I ask him to ask for a manager. She comes over with an attitude. He just hands the phone to me. I literally start with, "I am not trying to be mean or unreasonable, but this has been a really long time". Right off the bat, Crystal (excuse if my spelling is incorrect) gives me an attitude and is borderline yelling at me. She says how the food is already done and it isnt her fault. I say i understand that mistakes happen, but that it is not our fault and I expected to have this a while ago. She now turns to actually yelling at me that the food is done so she will hang up the phone so my husband doesnt have to wait longer. I ask her flat out "wait, so how am i the bad guy in this situation". Still yelling now, or since i know her coworkers will say she isnt yelling - voice much more raised than necessary in that not actually that busy restaurant, with a "f - u - b**ch tone, she says how they are short staffed and super busy - mind you they had a few tables, but by no means busy. There was another lady waiting who also had her order messed up. If you are too short staffed to be a decent human being- dont open! And if you want to give an attitude to people, stay home. It is customer service. We all hate it. It sucks and customers can suck, i get it. But you have a job to do, and I was not even rude, even though I had every right to be with the mistake that ended up taking an hour longer than it should have. And while she was yelling at me that it was all bagged up and i should be greatful, it wasnt even done. They were still bringing it to him. And it wasnt even all correct either. A drink was wrong, an appetizer missing, 2 entrees made wrong, and 3 sides wrong. Great job chilis in glastonbury, and thank you for the excellent...
Read moreI was a regular in the to go area. Usually the food was what you’d expect for 11$ … easy alternative to fast food chains! Past few times something was always incorrect though. My last experience was where the line was drawn though as it was raw in the middle, bun drenched in grease & lettuce thrown all around the container. I ordered a side of Mac n cheese for approx 6$ which was 3 teaspoons worth (literally). Not even luke warm.
Again, only being 11$ + a Mac n cheese, I simply called back immediately upon opening the Togo bag at home mentioning it would be appreciated to come back for a replacement later in the week. Wasn’t too big of a deal, just a wasted meal that ended up in the trash. On the call, the staff mentioned it was no problem, all was fine.
Fast forward to 3 days ago, I call back to honor the replacement meal only for a cranky sounding older gentleman to answer with snarky remarks about there being a policy for no call back meals. I attempted to obtain clarification as this was just relayed to me not even 4 days beforehand. Nonetheless, I said a refund would suffice as I’d simply be coming back in anyways. He then got even more aggressive telling me that I could not come in with my apple tap card for a refund. Naturally, and in disbelief this was allegedly the GM, I shrugged with aggravation only resulting in the already seemingly rude older gentleman to tell me never to return. He hung up and now trying to call back for my 17$ refund, he had clearly instructed the staff to park me on hold as I’ve tried 4 times in a row totaling over 15 minutes.
So unprofessional and nasty. The to go staff are always exemplary..kitchen and food seem to depend on who is cooking but I’m telling you, never have I had a conversation with such an angry or volatile elderly gentlemen. Especially an alleged GM.
I love Chilis & will happily take my business elsewhere. But had to share this experience as it...
