The staff are fine for the most part, but the food is super inconsistent. One day, youll get a great sandwich, the next day youll get an over pressed slab of soggy bread thats had too much sauce slathered on it and all the meat and contents have fallen out of it before it gets to the plate. For example i watched the girl plate my sandwich today and she realized that she over pressed it and made it wrong, i stay quiet to see if she will offer to re-make the order. Nope, as she pulls it off the stove and tries to cut it, over half the contents of the sandwich falls out of the sandwich. She attempts to put some of it back in the sandwich, but then decides to slide the rest of what i have paid for into the trash.
I stay quiet because I work with the general public, I understand how demanding people can be, and I also understand what its like to maybe even be new at the job. That said, I also stay quiet as a test to see if a business will do whats right by their customers, or if someone will be honest enough to admit their mistake on their own. I paid for that food that was thrown away by the employee, it was only thrown away because the sandwich was made improperly in the first place. I see this effectively as potential theft from both the business owners food cost, and the customers value that they paid for, all because someone simply didnt want to say "hey this didnt come out ok, would it be ok if i remade this? Do you have the time for that or are you ok with this?" -simple customer service that does right by the guest. Instead I get a soggy paper thin crisp of over sauced bread with no meat.
With tip the meal came to about $20-$21, the food i recieved was barely $10 worth of actual food.
Work on consistency, do better by your customers. Serve a product that you would be happy with if it were you as...
Read moreThe food was lovely as it as at any other location but all 3 employees on the floor were really upsetting. One did not even bother weighing my meat before throwing it on the sandwhich and seemed very miserable and to rush me, and 2 other workers seemed upset like it was such a grueling task to just give my partner some extra sauce on his panini. My sandwhich came out cold and I had to ask then to cook it more and they made the situation feel hostile by asking for them to fix the mistake. It gives the vibes they just want a paycheck and dont know anything about customer service. I was really polite to them all too :( mean service. I hope these employees can be retrained on not only standard for making paninis and customer service. Alot of employees have no idea how their treatment affects us customers...
Read moreTHE best place to get a Panini, hands down. First found this place 5 years ago when I worked in Tower Square in Springfield, MA. Was definitely a frequent lunch destination for me at the time.
I have since moved to Connecticut for work, and am happy to see that there are a couple here too! Currently writing this review from the Glastonbury location. Great staff, clean environment, and unmatched flavor/food quality, especially for the price!
Just wish you would spread a bit more! I'm moving to New London in a couple months and this location will still be the closest one to me after I move; about...
