There are a lot of sushi places, but not a lot of good ones. This is an exception to that rule. Tisumi Sushi & Japanese Restaurant serves great fresh quality sushi and sashimi.
My first visit there and I was impressed before even having a seat at our table. The decor and overall atmosphere signals that this is to be a classy place. Great place for a date night or spending time with friends. My group consisted of four adults and we ordered the "Sushi & Sashimi for Three" which costs $90. We got soup and salad, and we received a great chef's special appetizer on the house. Then our meal was brought to us on a boat! Even though the meal was for "three", we were all full and struggled to finish off the last few pieces of fish. We then shared a "Tempura Ice Cream" (fried ice cream).
The staff were attentive, courteous and friendly. Their menu is large consisting of the usual suspects of sushi restaurants, but there are also some added foods for those that may not be in the mood for strictly sushi, such as vegetarian dishes like Pad Thai, Fried Rice and Hibachi.
They offer takeout and have lunch specials. Their prices are good to a bit pricey depending...
Read moreI had a terrible experience here during the lunch hours, came here because itâs close to my job and was meeting up with family on my lunch break. First thing my brother had a hair in his food and then the waitress ran away so fast we couldnât even tell her that we no longer wanted the dish just wanted it off the tab. She hid after that we could no longer find here, so she then brings out the replacement meal and we tell her that we no longer wanted it but we couldnât tell her that initially since she left so fast and couldnât get her attention after. She then grabs her manager who then starts to arguing with me telling me that I need to understand that they remade it. I had to explain to her almost 3 times that we understand its remade but we no longer want the dish ! Then the bill comes and they charged a 20% gratuity when we only had a party of 4 and 1 child. The waitress service was below subpar and didnât deserve that tip! Highly would not recommend this, place never...
Read moreI ironically am not a fan of seafood but I went to this location to meet with friends. We met for dinner on Father's Day and the atmosphere was nice and not crowded at all. The music was at a nice level for ambiance so it wasn't a bother when talking to people.
The gyoza, sesame ball, miso soup, and aged tofu from the kitchen menu were delicious. My friends ordered a ton of sashimi, hand rolls, and I think spicy tuna rolls which were nicely made and they enjoyed.
I decided to try 2 of their special sushi rolls, dragon and spider, which to my surprise tasted pretty good. The sushi didn't fall apart when I picked it up and I went and ordered another spider roll afterwards.
The green tea ice cream was delicious and we all had 2 servings of it. The fried banana tasted just like a banana but fried.
Overall, I had pretty good experience and the service was nice and fast. Maybe I will try a different special roll if my friends decide to go...
