Needed an iced latte before our long drive home after a wedding and saw this was the highest rated option open on a Sunday, that also had yummy looking lattes 👀 I’m very particular about my iced lattes, so a roastery seemed like a great place to try.
I asked what non-dairy options they had for milks, and the barista said they have oat and almond. I asked what brand of oat since there is a particular brand that I really don’t like (iykyn) and the barista immediately knew they use minor figures. I said yay! I love that brand. and she said “I get it 😆”. Love a team of baristas who understand.
I got an iced cinnamon dolce latte, half sweet, with oat milk. My boyfriend got an iced mocha with whole milk. He absolutely loved the mocha and said it’s the best has had in a long time/maybe ever. I also loved my iced latte! Perfectly milky, not too sweet, great smooth espresso. Perfection! I basically chugged mine along with a vanilla espresso granola bar.
We also thought they had a mango matcha lemonade, but it was actually a mango matcha latte. They were kind about clarifying and we ended up getting one anyways for the road. Very smooth and perfect green color.
Ambience is laid back and chill. A few tables to do work or chat - saw some folks having a little informational interview, others on laptops, and others having a slow Sunday. Pop music in the background was a little much but fine.
Tons of cute merch, tea, coffee accessories for yourself or would make great gifts!
Would definitely recommend for a top notch coffee during...
Read moreIs "Daybreak Coffee" the best coffeehouse in the area? "Probably." A true "Coffee House" just smells like coffee. Feels like coffee. Has the dark wood colors of a sailing ship bringing coffee from far away lands. It's a place to hide away from reality. To sip a dark, smokey, mysterious brew rolling inside your lips and then, forget all your troubles in a gulp. Daybreak Roasters in Glastonbury is that place. The Viennese Roast Coffee is just 1 of 20 small batch coffees they roast onsite. You can come alone with a book or with 2 best friends to sip, drink, talk and share secrets. A cappuccino or French Press made to order or gives you 5 different coffee options to try on tap. The 2 seating areas have a total of approximately 10 tables that fit 2 to 4 people and the bathrooms are clean and accessible for limited mobility. Location is next to the Glastonbury library. Parking in front and about 20 spots on side of building. The people working there have both, coffee knowledge and smiles which are both, rare and nice to see. While you are there buy, a couple little brown paper sacks of exotic coffee beans to bring home. I actually gave these coffees as "Christmas Gifts" because where else can you get "brown paper packages 📦 tied up with string.."..? Daybreak Coffee is definitely one '...of my...
Read moreEvery time I have been able to visit since it’s out of the way on my way to work, it has been fantastic. The customer service, the quality of the goods they sell there is absolutely great. I cannot wait for us to be able to visit and sit indoors and enjoy one of their pastries and one of their specialty coffees.
My Christmas 2020, I came up with an idea for a holiday advent calendar using 25 different blends of whole bean coffee. They do not have this as an already offered item. I was able to work with the owner Ruth who was so awesome in making my dreams come true to surprise my boyfriend with this coffee calendar. He was so surprised and was in love with all of the different flavors and notes in each type of bean. The 25 days of December we both were able to explore so much from a citrus taste or smell to chocolate and even one that was called Holy Canoli. ( I’m not talking basic Dunkin or Starbucks coffee) high end flavors for sure. My last point is that she offers a more expensive coffee called Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. It is pricey but it is 300% worth it and is the smoothest coffee I’ve ever had! Definitely worth grabbing a 1/2lb of it!
Thanks again so much for making our holiday mornings leading up to Christmas...
