I have eaten at dozens of Indian restaurants across the US and Canada, as well as in the UK, France, China and even Tibet.
Let me begin my actual review by saying I hate wasting food, so I have choked down a lot of unappetizing slop throughout my life.
This is BY FAR the top 3, maybe top 2 WORST meals I have ever had the misfortune of ordering. It was the blandest entree I have ever had in my life. Not Indian entree, ANY entree ever.
It was late evening and I was going to have a late dinner with my mother, so she called in the order. She had to repeat herself 3-4 times even after they got someone who could speak any English because it was so incredibly loud on the other end of the phone they couldn't understand her. We have a few dietary restrictions, so it's important that they understand our order. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrees (the same entree, just mine spicier than my mother's).
They finally got the order in and told her 25 mins. I arrived almost 40 minutes after she called the order in and was told it wasn't ready and would be 5 more minutes. At least it was only about 5 more minutes. They rang me out and it came to about $55 with a small tip.
I got to the car and double checked the order. Realized I was given no sauces for the appetizers so I went back in and they said they don't give sauces out, but if I wanted them I could have them. After handing them to me, I asked if they had anything in them we couldn't eat. The 2 people behind the counter said no, then the guy who was standing in the kitchen doorway said that one of them did and that we couldn't eat it. They offered me a second sauce of the one we could eat, which I took and thanked them.
Once I got home I took everything out and realized they hadn't marked the entrees, and that I didn't know which was the spicy one. After tasting them I couldn't tell, because neither one tasted like anything at all. Bland. Flavorless. Exactly the opposite of what you imagine when thinking about Indian food.
The dish we got was essentially a handful of microwaveable vegetables in what seemed like a sauce of potato puree that I don't think even had salt in it. When made properly (I have made this dish myself, from scratch multiple times), it should have nuts, raisins and more than your standard cheap frozen vegetables. The appetizers were basically fried batter with a few onion chunks in. The rice was not only flavorless, but actually tasted bad, like it had been sitting around in still water for awhile before it was cooked and the rice cooker might have leeched that acrid metallic taste like biting tin foil. The one sauce we did get for the flavorless appetizers was supposed to be a sweet tamarind sauce that I'm sure you know well if you've had Indian food before. The sauce actually smelled like bad blackstrap molasses, which seemed crazy to me. Then I tasted it. I literally spit it in the sink immediately. It was something like a cross between watered down molasses and that taste you get when biting into something rotten.
I decided to try and toast some cashews and raisins in an attempt to make it even close to palatable, but it didn't help. In the end I ate the nuts and raisins I toasted out of the dish and we threw everything in the trash. No dinner. Waste of time. Waste of money.
Honestly if I had the ability to give negative stars I would do it. This food isn't fit for human consumption. Actually, I feed my dogs better food than this.
If you want really good Indian food. Again, I've had Indian food all over the country and the world. Best I ever had was in Tibet. Little far to go I know, but fear not. The second best is India House in Northampton Massachusetts. It's really only like 55 minutes from Glastonbury, might seem far, but it's worth the drive. Literally everything I've ever had on the menu is fantastic. The staff are amazing and they have been there for years. Don't waste...

Every dish we ordered was authentic & a masterpiece. Be it the perfectly creamy and melt-in-your-mouth North Indian dish - Malai Kofta, fresh fluffy & soft Garlic naan or the South Indian (Tamil nadu) dish - Chettinadu Chicken, Pomfret Fry that captured the authentic essence of South Indian flavors.
The true star of the meal was the Pomfret Fry - crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside, and spiced to perfection!
The ambiance was good and inviting, and the service was great. Takeout shall be preferred.
This family that runs the restaurant was very friendly, attentive and eager to listen to us & share recommendations.
If you're looking for authentic, flavorful Indian cuisine with heartfelt service, this is the place to go. A true culinary delight.
North Indian & South Indian flavors are very different & poles apart. And getting right both the North Indian & South Indian flavors is not easy. I could sense that the chef here definitely must be well experienced & knows his craft well to deliver dishes at this level of perfection.
I’m sure that we would definitely be dining in or order take out...

Came here in early Oct after a birthday celebration and was looking forward to having some masala chai to end the night around 7pm. The lady working refused, saying it would take a very long time since they were busy.
We decided to give another try this past weekend, we came on Friday around 7pm. This time we had called in advance to place the order for two cups of masala chai. The girl taking our order over the phone was friendly. When we got there, the same lady from the earlier Oct trip told us they cannot make the tea. My sister and I were confused, we explained that we placed the order over the phone but the lady told us that all their stoves are busy and they could not make the tea.
Shocked this is the service I got as a customer - they did not honor their word over the phone order. The lady told us the girl who took the order is new - but that is highly unprofessional. I do not recommend this restaurant and will not be...
