Overall Rating: 2.9/10 The food's quality varied widely, yet it was the lackluster service and atmosphere that truly made this establishment fall short of expectations.
Atmosphere: 1.1/10 Visiting at 11 AM to find the place deserted contributed to an unsettling quiet. Outdated holiday decorations long after the season passed added to the sense of disarray.
Service: 1.2/10 Interaction with the staff was minimal and unwelcoming, with guests left to navigate the menu without assistance. The establishment's temperature was uncomfortably cold, to the point where the staff wore hoodies. Dishes served were only mildly warm and quickly became cold, affecting their edibility. There was also confusion with the order, as an unintended extra dish was served. Payment instructions were unclear, with not very obvious posted signs on a wall indicating payment at the counter rather than table service.
Food:
Beef Pho: 7.5/10 The standout dish was the Beef Pho, with a broth so flavorful that no additional seasoning was needed—a stark contrast to the rest of the meal.
Pork Fried Rice: 4.6/10 The dish was overwhelmed by an excess of peas, which dominated the flavor and detracted from the overall balance.
Pork Fresh Roll: 3.2/10 The rolls were mediocre and unfortunately paired with a sweet sauce instead of the expected peanut sauce, leading to a mismatched and unsatisfying taste.
Value: 2.9/10 With a pre-tip total of $84, which included a few appetizers, the pricing felt steep, especially for dishes like the $14 pork fried rice, which did not meet the anticipated standards. The cost did not reflect the quality of the food and overall...
Read moreI think it's hard to make a bad Pho, so I typically like any Pho places I go to. With that being said one of the things I do really like about this place are the amount of options of so that you have. A lot of places you might only get two or three options of beef Pho and sometimes I don't want to get tripe or tendon just beef flank or brisket. I think they have about 15 different types of beef so you can get then chicken and so on. I find this place kind of amusing going in it used to be a Famous Dave's BBQ which would was the complete theme of everything and they have kept it like that. So it's kind of funny sitting in their Vietnamese Log Cabin. Their are fresh spring rolls are pretty good. Some places the ingredients are a tad dry but I thought these here we're just about right. Friendly people, quick to get you your order. The only reason why I didn't give it five stars and this is probably just me but I think they keep it a little warm inside the restaurant. It tends to feel a little humid or muggy like and I don't care for the feeling of sitting outside when I'm inside. I've been here a few times and it's always been good food. They do have a bar area and when I was leaving I noticed that they have applied for their...
Read moreI honestly don’t get why this place has 4.5 stars. Have people in this area never had good Vietnamese food before? 1. Food; I got the combo pho during my visit, the quality of the meat in the soup is one of the worst in all of my pho experiences. They looked like leftover meat scraps. Also the broth was very sweet on its own. I had to add extra sriracha to counter the sweetness. My friend got their fried rice and the spring rolls. The fried rice was super greasy, he said it looked and tasted like grocery store fried rice and not a good one. And the spring rolls were also tasteless and looked like they were store bought. 2. Service; During our visit, almost every one the staff were on their phone and either just sitting or just standing around doing nothing. Our waiter decided to stand at the table right behind ours whenever he doesn’t have anything to do to play on his phone, which made us a bit nervous during the whole visit. 3. Atmosphere; I think the building was either a Texas Roadhouse or an Outback before. Most of the seats in their booths have rips in them, that does not give a good first impression. To sum up, we won’t be back and will...
