Worst experience at a kid restaurant ever! This is the new Naperville location. I'm all for attentive service but this was too much. Every server in the place came by 3 times. At one point, it was every minute. I couldn't even eat my meal in peace. My wife took the bun off my kids burger and 3 separate times a server tried to take it from us, each time we told them that we were going to eat it. At one point, the manager stated that if we were not to eat it he wanted to reuse a good bun. I did not find it funny in the least. The last visit to our table that took the cake was by the manager or owner, an older man with gray hair. He started out the conversation by telling me I was "busted" for telling the server we frequent All Aboard train restaurant. He asked for a comparison so I was honest, I told him that they have way more kid friendly activities, such as the train bench that allows kids to press buttons to activate the trains. He then says that it is filled with "infectious diseases" and proceeds to bash All Aboard. He even went as far as stating that the restaurant is "closing" because of the strip mall it is in. (Totally not true) He also told me that 2Toots restaurant was more for "adults" not kids. To top it off the menu was horrible, like 3 choices and the burger was dry. Stay far away from the Naperville location. I would recommend All Aboard in Downers Grove. Good menu, good food, lots of options, servers are normal and way more options for kids to stay entertained during the entire visit. Oh and no free train whistle for the kids...
Read moreIf I could give this review 0 stars I would. This is the second time we have come to this location and the second time we have been completely disappointed...don't worry a third mistake will not happen! The first time we were here we found out that out server was actually one of the owners. Would have never guessed that since she seemed completely lost and frazzled. I had ordered a chicken sandwich with no tomato but asked for some cheese on it. I was taking my daughter to the bathroom when the food came and my chicken had tomato on it and no cheese. The owner asked my wife to take the tomato off before I got back, but either way it still wasn't right. Couldn't belive that an owner would say such a thing when they made the mistake! This time was just about as bad. Still horrible service that was slow. While we were sitting there starting to get our food ready with ketchup and mustard, the floor manager decided that was the best time to take those bottles away from us to top them off. Couldn't you have waited till we finished and left? The staff kept congregating in a corner talking with each other and not paying attention to the customers. Five times they all walked past looking at my empty drink, so I had to finally ask for a refill. The place wasn't even busy today! There was another family that was there who had ordered some shakes and apparently a piece from what looked like the mixer broke off into their shake. Just overall piss poor service for overpriced food! As stated earlier, we will never be back at this...
Read moreWe were super excited to come to two toots. It was our first visit ever now that my kids are old enough to behave in a restaurant. My son was over the moon once we walked in. This location is small but was decorated so cute. Within one min of sitting down, before I even took my coat off the man working came up asking if we were ready to order and I said not yet, we need to look at the menu since we’ve never been here before. He then walked away with an attitude. There was about 3 other people in the restaurant at the time so it was not busy. He then kept walking past us, ignoring us for about 10-15 mins. I wanted to leave and never give that location business again but my son was so excited to be there I didn’t want this ignorant person to ruin his experience. He then came over and made the comment “ I told you, you should have ordered when I asked” I responded “I’m sorry this is our first time and did not know the menu to order that quickly.” The rest of our time then ended up being ok but I definitely felt uncomfortable after that. I felt at that point he was only being nice to make sure he gets his tip. At the end, we paid, we tipped 20% and I will never go back again. This is coming from someone who has worked as a sever and bartender for 7 years. The behavior was completely unacceptable. I now give my business to the Naperville location and my kids love going there. It is also much bigger...
