Tried Angry Chickz today on Bell and 51st. Couple things going on here, lets start with the chicken sandwiches. -The sandwiches were fantastic, huge portions of chicken strips on each one. I personally have always been kinda weird about coleslaw, especially on sandwiches ( i lived in the midwest for a time and they put coleslaw on pulled pork sandwiches and I never was a fan of that) but here the coleslaw works well with the pickles and the house sauce they put on it.There are 6 different spice levels, I chose for the sandwiches a level 3 and got combo #1..that is 2 chicken sandwiches which was perfect, the chicken was so flavorful and juicy, it is definitely better than any competitors chicken sandwiches IMO (chik fil a, popeyes, churches, canes, kfc, chicken shack, etc...). Highly recommend. Now the sides. -The mac and cheese, outstanding for a fast food spot...just add some pepper and its so good, creamy and not dried out, you can get the mac and cheese with toppings too but i just got a regular side, very good stuff *see photo*. Also kinda wanted to try the heat level 4 side strip (this is extremely hot, ghost pepper dry rub) not for the faint of heart, although I will say the chicken was juicy and tender. Last but not least, the fries, very good, seasoned well, definitely want to eat these fresh however. Overall I'd say I'll definitely be back. Its kinda pricey but big portions and a combo meal will feed 2 easily. Be patient with the folks that work there, they were extremely busy and its a new spot so they are working out the kinks, still, great service and very friendly staff! Go get some hot chicken my fellow Phoenix foodies!!! (Menu is simple too, posted below) Reading the reviews on Google...folks are giving them 1 star for being charged for a cup of water. They charge you for the cup no matter what type of drink you get so keep that in mind folks. I dont see anything wrong with this.

I was sadly not impressed flavor wise. Looked forward to trying this place out but it was so bland. We waited for about 20 minutes in drive thru, wich was awhile. They were out of fries so we didn't get to try those. Price wise it was really expensive. Ended up being $36 for two meals. Also the drinks are an additional charge. They are not included in the combo. Saying that the portions were HUGE! And the food came out piping hot. My mac and cheese could have fed 2/3 people. But the flavor was lacking. The Mac and cheese wasn't real mac. Seemed like they opened a can of cheese sauce and added some noodles into it. Was so flavor whatsoever. Just tasted like watered down processed cheese sauce. The chicken itself was crispy and tender but the only seasoning was cayenne pepper. They just poured a bunch of cayenne on it wich was disappointing because it would have been great with some other type of flavor going on. My husband got the rice and the same thing. Completely flavorless absolutely no seasoning or anything. Just bland white rice. I wouldn't call it bad food. But for the price, the wait time, i expected alot better tasting food. I wouldn't eat there again

Dine in experience is better than drive thru. I had actually seen this place on IG and wanted to try it. We went inside to eat. This place is very clean, and the food came out pretty fast. It was a little more busy than i thought it would, most tables were taken and the drive thru was also busy with about 6 cars. We ordered the #4 combo and the angry mac. I would definitely recommend the angry max it's one of the meat "loaded" fries that you can get in AZ. The cashier in front was very nice and i felt that this restaurant was pretty clean as well which i value in a restaurant the most. I also like that they have different spice levels since that is unique Drive thru experience is much more unpleasant due to the wait and inefficiency. The line wasn't too long but the service through the drive through is much slower than dining in. I got in the line at 525 but didn't receive me food until 537. I don't usually mind waiting but i do feel like it should be more efficient. Definitely will go here again, and i would recommend it to anyone else who is in the area to try it.

My husband , daughters, 12 year grandson and I were excited to try Angry Chickz so we went on Friday Oct 14th our server Rubi was very pleasant and took our orders. We got a couple of combos #4 medium and mild, a loaded Mac country, #1 country and my husband got #1 Angry. We got all our closed boxes containers with the orders written on top. Place was packed so finally scored a table and once we sat down our grandson opened his box and took a bite from what was supposed to be the country #1 combo but someone mistakenly put my husband angry sandwich into the incorrect box. Needless to say our grandson eyes watered not stop, he could barely breathe and his mother as well as us were furious. My husband went to the counter to seek help and was given a few cups of milk, pickles and Mac and cheese. We were considering about taking him to the urgent care next door but thankfully after about 10 minutes he was feeling better. I know mistakes happen but this could of been a very critical and/or fatal mistake if it happens to a younger or elderly person. I tried a small piece a fraction of what he ate and was tearing up and burning my mouth. The food itself was ok I did enjoy the rice but do not think we will...

I hope the GM/Owner/Manger sees this and knows that Jamie T. is a fantastic employee and considers giving him a promotion/compensation increase. We got there just as the place was opening. Jamie greeted us with a friendly welcome. He let us know that he was the only one there and there were supposed to be 4 other employees, but they hadn't showed up. Jamie remained friendly, professional, and polite. He kept apologizing for the wait, but he had no reason to apologize. In the meantime, we watched several customers come in to order, cars in the drive-thru, and online pickups. Jamie stayed cool and getting orders out promptly. As we left two employees showd up to help Jamie. But I wanted to acknowledge his professionalism, friendliness, and ability to keep cool in a stressful time. I was very impressed he was taking orders, making them, and handling drive-thru and online all by himself without any complaint. When you have a good employee like this, take care of them, reward them properly, and do what you can to keep them. Good help is hard to find, especially in the food industry where turnover is high. We will be back again! Food and everything was great!...
