My family was visiting from Guam to celebrate my brother’s Marines graduation and they decided to show him Arizona as a congratulations. With us being from an island, the different attractions and restaurants are what we always look forward to when we come to the mainland because we always hear such good things about it from the other islanders. I just wanted to share my experience because it was so sad to see my family be let down after being so excited to try Krispy Kreme for the first time. We came in on Black Friday around 6:30 pm after we’ve done some quick shopping because we wanted to end the night on a good note. We didn’t see any entrance here signs so we ended up walking through what I assumed was the back/side door. As my family walked in there were two workers, (one girl was a young light girl with glasses and the other girl was a tall with an Afro in a high pony tail) sitting on the table by the counters. I am describing the worker’s appearances because I did not see any name tag on as least the worker who was “assisting” us. As we walked in they didn’t have any friendly faces, I understand we walked in the wrong way but what a first impression for some first timers to Krispy Kreme. I brushed it off because I get it some days are hard and I’m not typically bothered by these kind of things, but the fact that the girl wasn’t even trying to have basic customer service to my mom…..like really. Let me explain, we caught the tall worker with an Afro’s attention to be helped and asked what can she get for us….it was pretty normal customer service interaction so far. Being it’s our first time, my mom asked what kind of doughnuts would they have freshly available. The worker replies, “glazed.” with attitude and a face like we were suppose to know. Being that we don’t make a big deal out of little icks, we brush it off again. I proceed to ask my mom what she’d like and I relay the information of a dozen doughnuts to the worker. We get to the final transaction to pay, see the total price and my mom pays the total. As we were getting the receipt, I noticed on the screen facing the customers that an item was added on the transaction. I know we only got a dozen doughnuts, so I just wanted to confirm that there wasn’t an accidental charge. My mom then asks nicely, “oh we didn’t order chocolate milk….is that correct?” The worker goes, “what? Chocolate milk?” with attitude in her tone. I look at my mom and we look at each other and laugh because we couldn’t believe how this worker was replying to us. I wanted to ask the worker, “what was with the attitude and tone?” But we just brushed it off and left the location. So here I am to share that I wish I would’ve got that girl’s name because she needs to work on her customer service. I get it, it isn’t for everyone but if customers come in with a positive attitude and greet the worker’s nicely……what’s so hard to get that in return. Let me just add the way the donuts look were a bit sloppy on the seasonal themed donuts and the selection is few. Safe to say, I wouldn’t be coming to this location should I ever wanna give my money to...
Read moreFinally have a picture worth attaching to a review! Both in my personal life as a consumer and when I drive for UberEATS, it drives me CRAZY when I go to a business, like fast food or Starbucks, where they have a drive through, and they don't tell you if their dining room is closed! Ever since the start of COVID-19, a lot of places closing earlier than I would expect, especially these kinds of places that prefer for whatever reason to close the dining room but leave the drive-thru open. I have multiple times lost my place in line and wasted time by parking, walking up to the front door, and being turned away by a locked door. I kept getting so mad and yelling out loud to myself, why don't you have a sign that says Dining Room Closed Please Use the Drive -thru?! I really don't think it is that hard to figure out but apparently it is. Apparently it takes some kind of genius who works for Krispy Kreme. I was so ecstatic when I saw this sign today! 9 Other than that, the service was a little slow, especially since we all had to go through the drive-thru, and I think it was shortly before 9 pm. . It kind of bugs me that places are closing SO early these days in general. But that's not really particularly pertinent here. I hope people start following your lead, Krispy Kreme, and start following logic, putting instructive signs out for customers to make processes more quick, efficient, and generally more enjoyable! (And...
Read moreI haven't had Krispy Kreme in several years but I decided to place an online order today for a doughnut and a latte. On the website it said to pick up the order inside when normally I'd go through the drive thru. I'm glad I did because what I saw inside was something that made me never want to eat there again! As I'm standing in line, I see something flying out of the corner of my eye. I look over to see not one, but TWO WASPS INSIDE the display case WITH THE DOUGHNUTS THAT THEY SERVE PEOPLE. I'd almost understand stubborn small pests like fruit flies or something, or even maybe one rogue wasp, but multiple? It begs so many questions. I can only assume they have a wasp nest that they've decided to ignore. It's clearly a sanitary issue, but moreso a safety issue. I know I was not the only customer to notice them either.
Other than that, they didn't make my latte ahead of time because they were out of skim milk, and I told them 2% was fine. I'm pretty sure they gave me a small instead of the medium I ordered, but that ended up being okay because it tasted pretty bad and I didn't finish it. I also didn't end up eating my doughnut for obvious reasons.
Thank you for helping me make better...
