When you have to declare yourself the "BEST" of anything, it usually means you are just trying to boost your credibility and you really aren't the best and sometimes far from it.
Unfortunately this was true for Best Shawarma because they really aren't the "BEST" at anything. My group of friends and I were searching for late eats around the Glendale area and we stumbled upon Best Shawarma on Yelp so we decided to give it a try. Upon walking in we weren't greeted and the staff looked almost annoyed when we stated that we were eating in and not ordering out. After asking some questions regarding their menu items in which they weren't very helpful with, the 4 of us decided to share an order of the Lula combo and Kakob combo.
On their website the entrees are described as the following:
Lula Combo Kebobs - a generous amount of giant pieces of beef and chicken lula kebabs marinated, skewered and charbroiled. Served with your choice of rice, salad and hummus.
Kabob Combo Plate - a generous amount of giant pieces of kebabs marinated, skewered and charbroiled. Served with a rice, salad and hummus.
It took awhile to get our order and when we finally got it I was surprised at how tiny the portion sizes were. They literally gave us about 4 pieces of meat for each kabob and it wasn't generous pieces in any way. The salad and hummus were also tiny in portions. The taste of the kabobs were good and the meat was juicy and tender but I can't justify the price with the amount of food we got. I feel like we could have gone to Zankou and gotten so much more bang ...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Best Shawarma, and I must say, it was an experience that left a lasting impression.
The star of the show was undoubtedly the combo plate. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, perfectly balanced and incredibly delicious. The succulent meat, the fresh salad, and the tangy sauces all came together in a delightful medley that was both satisfying and memorable.
What struck me as exceptional was the presentation of the food. It was as if the plate was a canvas, and the chef, an artist. The food looked exactly like the photos, a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality and consistency.
But what truly sets Best Shawarma apart is their customer service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. Their dedication to customer satisfaction is evident and greatly appreciated.
In conclusion, Best Shawarma offers not just a meal, but a culinary journey. With its delicious food, beautiful presentation, and excellent customer service, it's a place I highly recommend. If you're in the mood for a flavorful feast, Best Shawarma should be at the top of your...
Read moreI ate here yesterday and got a schwarma plate. First of all this place is not as clean as I thought. Because the food I got was very greasy. Right after eating I donât felt too good.
Today I woke up with a very bad skin rash. Something in their food gave me food allergies.
Also thinking back this was the only place that has covered up completely itâs kitchen that you canât see how they food is being prepared.
Also big minus they didnât had ice, tahini sauce and garlic sauce.
The guy on the counter has no upper teeth and theyâre good is just extremely expensive for what you get.
This isnât best schwarma, but worst schwarma that gave me food allergies and this very annoying and ichig rash.
Go to Schawama factory. They food is so much better and cleaner and you can see how they are preparing it.
We had 2x schwarma plate. It comes with meat, rice, salad and a side of hummus. I ask if they can swap the hummus for tahini sauce and the guy with no teeth told me that he will charge me extra for the swab! What??? WTH? We paid for 2 plates and 1 drink over $50. Not worth it. Go to...
