Burger Bun — Restaurant in Glendale

I cannot figure out how this place has the reviews it does. It is average at best and that is being generous. To be honest it is one of the worst burgers I've had in a very long time.

Service was good, the person who took my order was friendly and the food did come out pretty fast. The positives stop there.

I got 2 burgers, the double decker and the Wagyu/Kobe burger with pastrami.

Immediately I noticed that the both types of patties (the regular and the Wagyu/Kobe) had no color at all. They were just gray. No grill marks, no texture. Both burger patties were lifeless and flavorless. They were obviously frozen, low quality beef. Calling the "nicer" burger Wagyu or Kobe is a farce. This patty tasted worse than the ones at Burger King, and the standard patties were even worse.

When I ordered the burgers I was asked how I wanted them cooked and the person taking my order said they recommend medium to which I said sure. When they came out, none of the patties had a shred of pink in them. It was pointless for them to ask how I'd like my frozen patties done when they all come out gray and flavorless anyway.

Didn't try the fries, some people say they're good but I was just here to try the actual burgers themselves and left supremely...

I don't understand what went wrong with the order. I tried them for the first time through uber eats last night. First of all they upcharge by a lot more than places typically do in order to makeup for the ubereats fee. Second, the quality was horrible. Nothing looks like the photos except the waffle fries which always look the same. The halal burger patty still tasted like freezer. The halal hotdogs were below average. We felt so weird after eating these 3 items that we didnt even try the halal Philly cheesesteak. I cant believe people have the audacity to charge the way they charge for below average quality food. This business definitely...

My husband and I have been frequenting Burger Bun (at least once a month) since we moved to Glendale almost three years ago and they exceed our expectations every. single. time. We can walk down the street about 1/2 a mile and hit at least four other decent burger places, but will gladly hop in the car an go the distance just for their food. And I'm not just talking about their burgers (which are amazing, btw). Their carne asada torta and chicken quesadilla? Absolute perfection. Chef's kiss Obsessed with their zucchini sticks, too. Will be back again and again and again, and wholeheartedly recommend this...
