This is a little Cafe in my neighborhood that I've probably driven past 100 times and never noticed it. We did a search to find something new nearby and found this. I'm glad we did! We sat outside and were provided menus and asked if we wanted drinks within 2 minutes of sitting down. Breakfast options were diverse enough for a small cafe. Coffee was smooth, hot, and flavorful. Food arrived in just the amount of time I would expect for something made to order. It was hot, plentiful, and delicious! I had eggs over easy which were perfect, bacon that was thick and just the right amount of crispness, and pancakes that were giant, fluffy and well prepared. They came with both enough butter and syrup that I didn't have to ask for more of either. I ate every morsel! The wait staff was attentive without being obtrusive and checked in without interrupting our conversation. I want to specifically acknowledge them because we watched as a single diner sat down a few tables over and kept talking on her phone via speaker, so everyone could hear both sides of her conversation. She was handed a menu and no more than 2 minutes later she was telling her phone companion that she was leaving because the service was 'terrible'...no one had taken her order yet. She packed up her stuff and walked off, never having ended her loud and disruptive phone conversation. A couple things bothered me about this: First, she shouldn't go into a sit down restaurant expecting fast food speed (Even fast food isn't that fast anymore). Second, good wait staff are trained not to interrupt a customer who is on their phone (Too bad customers aren't trained to not speak on their phone during a meal!). All she had to do was hang up and I'm sure, based on what I saw, that the wait staff would have been over to begin her dining experience quickly. If you are reading this review, please don't be an A$$ of a customer. Put your phone down and enjoy the experience of this wonderful little cafe with delicious food and very...

Although all staff were hustling, they presented themselves calm and in control. We were instructed to choose a seat to our liking, so we opted for a high top window view. Within seconds we had menus in hand and our drink requests made by a smiling, very courteous, enthusiastic server/waitress. She explained they roast their beans every morning and all ingredients on the menu were organicâŠ. A HUGE PLUS! I ordered an iced caramel latte with oat milk (YUM!) and hubby ordered a double shot of espresso and a black house coffee (heâs the coffee connoisseur and Iâm the food critic), which brings me to my breakfast. Iâm not a huge fan of salmon for breakfast but the unusual combo of ingredients in the Norwegian Eggs Benedict had me super curious. Shockingly, it all worked beautifully and was absolutely fabulous! Well worth the $19, which included a sample of fresh fruit (ripe, I might add!), and potatoes roasted to perfection with crispy skins and the exact amount of seasoning. Hubbyâs breakfast burrito had nice size chunks of fresh ingredients, the bacon cooked just right, delicious salsa, and his coffee remained filled. We were attended to frequently but not pestered. We did not feel rushed by staff even though the line was out the door as we finished. Oh, and the bathrooms were clean- yet another plus! We will be back. Outstanding job, Black and...
Read moreMost importantly, you'll wait centuries to eat. Our personal horror story from this place: my girlfriend and I were excited to try this place with our 4 year old. It's nice and clean inside, I'll give it that. But our server was extremely rude and unfriendly, there wasn't a kids menu, and they refused to sell us one pancake for our little boy. I mean, a mom and pop breakfast place that won't sell a local family a pancake? Nope. They insisted we have to purchase the adult portion of 3 huge pancakes for $7.99. Ok, not a huge deal. But then we wait for an hour to get our food. We're looking around because it's really not busy, wondering how this is taking so long. Then they bring out my meal and our kid's pancakes without my girlfriend's order. So we wait for about 5 minutes and then finally start eating because it's getting cold. She NEVER got hers! You might be wondering why we didn't ask our server where it was... well, besides taking our initial orders and dropping off two of our plates, she never once visited the table. We had two coffees, three waters and an orange juice, all of which sat empty once they were finished for the entire meal. We never got the chance to ask where my girl's food was because our server never came back. After finishing, I got up and went to the front greeting area to ask for our check and remind them that they never brought an entire meal out to us. Instead of apologizing, they made us pay for it and then proceeded to make it and box it up for us to take to go. WILL NEVER go...
