Denny's — Restaurant in Glendale

If they could get a negative star rating, that's what their score would have been. My husband placed order on their website . We were informed our order had been submitted, and 20 minutes would be the wait time. We waited the 20 minutes then went to the resteraurant. Upon arrival, I waited to be greeted for well over 10 min. She kept talking g to her other Co workers completely ignoring us standing there. 10 minutes later, she greeted us. After I checked in, I stepped off to the side. Expecting my order to be coming right up, as it had been nearly half hour since my phone call. Another customer came in a couple min after me. He ordered his food and stepped aside. After about 15 more min, the greeter/manager reappeared with a bag of food. ... And called the other gentleman's name. Gave him his order. He left. I patiently waited 45 ( yes FOURTY FIVE ) more minutes before I asked for a refund. I was told it was an online order and that wasn't possible. That the order would be out when "She went back and got it". That I wasnt the ONLY customer in the store. I actually had been, for just less than 10 minutes when I arrived . But that's not my point. FINALLY, she managed to pull herself from her lengthy conversatims with Co workers. And handed me my order. The hash browns were burnt the darkest brown. I just hope to god I don't get sick . I wish there was something g good to say about the journey.. But there Wasn't. So much for a nice Monday breakfast with my husband...

On May 22nd, my special needs son graduated from High School, he chose to celebrate his great achievement at this location, because we use to live around there. The waiter took our order , she brought our drinks, an a few appetizers in the average of good time, and an hour and ten minutes later she brought us the ticket to pay the bill claiming " Just to let you know, I almost leave, so if you want to pay right now is ok" During the wait we saw her outside of the restaurant, we don't know what she was doing out there instead taking care of our order, and when we received the bill we asked her; How much longer do we have to wait for our food?? She said: You didn't get your food? Nobody brings your food?? She ran to the kitchen to find out what happened with our order. When she brought our burgers they were soggy, and the edges of the bread burned, same with the lettuce, the fries were so dried, because our food was obviously ready in the window for a longtime. So in conclusion, we ended up eating our food because we waited one hour and ten minutes after the appetizers, the waiter attends 2 more tables right after she rushed us to pay the bill without our order, we saw her outside meanwhile our order probably was ready waiting for someone to run the food, and we had 30 % of discount for the looooong wait.

We used to love the food and the location, but this chapter ruined my special needs son...

We have been going to this Denny's, 2 or 3 times a month for the past couple of years. We have never had any issues with the food, or our servers. We were here yesterday and our Server, Dollie, told us a new menu would be out tomorrow, Wednesday. So we came today with our granddaughter to check out the new menu. We found they added, spaghetti to the kids menu, which is our granddaughter's favorite meal, besides extra crispy bacon. It was nice to see new menu items. My wife had the deluxe hamburger, my granddaughter had the spaghetti, with extra crispy bacon and I had biscuits and gravy, I normally order the Lumberjack Slam. My granddaughter said the spaghetti sauce was a little soupy and bland. I tasted it and agreed with her. We have never had poor service at this Denny's, our servers, Dollie, Stephanie, Teresa, and Nicole, who left a couple of weeks ago. But our favorite server is Dollie, she has a great relationship with our granddaughter, she remembers our drink orders and normal food orders, so we occasionally change to keep her on her toes; like I did today. Last week Dollie told us they improved their sausage gravy and gave us a sample. So that's why I had the biscuits and gravy today, and it was very good. Keep up the good...
