Desvelados Glendale — Restaurant in Glendale

Ordered here through a third party delivery service. The menu looked interesting and had some trendy vibes so gave it a try. The first time my wife and i were left upset about our food experience since all of the selections of add ons we made and paid extra for in through the delivery service came out entirely wrong. With my wife being selective with her food, she could not eat what arrived.

A few months later we decided to try Tacos Los Desvelados Glendale again. This time we called immediately after ordering to confirm the add ons that we selected. The women on the phone confirmed she could see them on there end and the food would come with what was selected. And sure enough, what arrived was completely wrong. It had items we selected not to have and did not have items we selected and called to confirm. After being upset with the results (especially after the confirmation) we called back to see what went wrong and if anything could be done. We were told we had to pay extra for the add ons we asked for (which we did when selecting the add ons), and to order directly from their site next time. They offered a free burrito to redeem next time we come in, then retracted that once we clarified it was 2 other orders that were the ones that came out incorrect. They then offered credit for a couple add ons. I find this unacceptable that they claimed we did not pay extra for what we ordered and that they stuck to what came out on their order book, which we called and confirmed they had the right info.

End of day seems like they dont care about orders or the customer satisfaction. Seems like they just make it the way they make it and either you like it or dont. Which is okay, just dont tell me your doing add ons then dont then say I did...

Double check your bill and make sure it matches your food before paying.

We have had issues when it comes to our bill with the same person, Maria, the last 2 times we've come to this restaurant. My husband and I are generally laid back and don't worry too much when the bill arrives but the first time they charged my husband twice even though he told them it went through the first time but they said it didn't show on their end and he wouldn't be charged. They were rushing him to move away from the register without letting him double check it didn't show on his card (it was an apple card so it would show immediately). He was notified once he was in the car with his food and when he went back the next day to dispute it they did refund the money but were not apologetic and didn't seem genuinely sorry about it the mistake (it felt like a hustle).

The 2nd time I paid and they didn't have an item I ordered and they said they removed it from the bill. Maria printed the receipt and said it was removed and thought I wouldn't check but I did and immediately gave the receipt back to her and she acted as if she was annoyed that we caught it.

This situation aside the food was overly salted, the service was super slow and the tables were dirty despite asking her to clean my table twice and they took forever to clear up tables to the point where I was surrounded by 5 uncleaned tables while I ate. I understand things can get busy but I've never been to a Mexican Restaurant where the tables aren't immediately cleaned.

This place has potential but honestly the food and service is terrible now so we will not...

I DO NOT recommend this location. I've been to the Maywood and the Pasadena locations, and they were 10x as packed, and the service was still faster and better than here. There were only 5 people already eating at the location when me and my friend arrived, They took our order as soon as we got there, 10 minutes passed and we weren't offered silverware, napkin, NOTHING. 20 minutes passed, and they brought us 1 taco from our entire order. Which was from my order, but I decided to hold off and not eat till my friends' food arrived. 30 minutes later, the rest of the food had still NOT arrived, keep in mind there were NO other people and the people who were eating when we got there had already left, 45 minutes later I decided to get up and ask how much longer our food was gonna take and the waiter said it would be right out. The food didn't get to us till almost AN HOUR LATER. I had to eat my one of my tacos, which was brought to me earlier, all cold since it had been sitting out for about 30 minutes. In total, all we ordered was 4 tacos, and I highly doubt 1 shrimp taco and 4 Carne asada tacos take 1 hr to make. Anywho, when it was time to pay, we sat there waiting for our waitress and nothing, 10 minutes later, I decided to just get up and go pay at the counter. When I got up there, the waitresses were talking about their nails, and when I asked if I could pay, they gave me a look and had an attitude.
