This review is based on the food.
The service is quite good! And they allow you to call ahead to place an order.
However, if this review is going to be about the food – I need to tell you that the coffee is not good. And the pastries are not French.
I ordered a mocha and I’m not sure if it was just burnt or if it’s not being made properly… But it was not very good. I’ve had the chocolate croissants a couple of times. They are good. But I’ve definitely had better.
Does anyone make chocolate covered waffles like a true Parisian bakery!?
The rest of the bakery assortment is anything like you would typically find at any bakery here in Los Angeles.
I am updating the review for their guest service. This morning they hung up on me after saying that they couldn’t understand my question and so instead of trying to clarify, they just hung up. Then I called them back and asked them again my question about an item and they just told me that they didn’t have any and as I was trying to ask them if they were going to make more they hung up on me again. Definitely doesn’t seem...
Read moreOur family has completely stopped buying bread from the supermarket. The bread here is not only vastly superior to anything you’ll find on supermarket Shelves, it is much less expensive. Plus, buying it here is an opportunity to support a local independent business! They have g good coffee too for way less than Starbucks. Yes, you will have to get out of your car instead of sitting in a drive through line, but that helps you get in some steps and helps the environment by not idling your engine in the drive through! This bakery has fabulous pastries too, and we regularly indulge in the beautiful fruit tarts. The only time I was slightly disappointed was when I ordered a bûche de noël. I had imagined something different than I got, but it was still delicious! Next time I order something special, I will be more specific than just giving the name of the dessert. I didn’t realize how many variations...
Read moreOn August 9th around 11:00 am I stopped by with a friend for a cup of coffee and a croissant. The croissant was completely dry and even hard to break in two pieces. I took it back and let the server/cashier know. Her reply was, “it was freshly baked this morning”. No apology, or can I get you something else… it was embarrassing. I just walked away since did not see how the issue could be resolved. Croissant is almost 50% butter and does not dry out in few hours. Regardless, the servers may need more training. When it was baked is not my problem, but a dry croissant that breaks in pieces is restaurants problem. Terrible experience. Sadly, my first experience few months ago was great, hence, the reason for going back; even though I live in...
