This place used to be AWESOME. It was simple and great. Microbrew beer, a few pizzas, a calzone or two, and anitpasto salad. That was the whole menu. The whole vibe of the place was young and hip, yet still allowed for kids. It was a gastropub vibe before gastropubs became popular. Then about 5 years ago they changed the menu, and some of the management. I have been there 3 times since trying to give the place a chance. While the menu offers definitely more kid options, the regular fair is mass-produced low quality food. I would compare it to Shakey's or Chucky Cheese, except there are no games to distract you from the terrible food. The last time I was there I had to use about 3 napkins per slice to soak up the oil. During the two visits that followed, I was made aware of the preferential treatment given to return customers. We had to wait forever for a table, and the service was rushed. The quality of the food made it a trifecta. I made the conscious decision to never subject my kids to this restaurant again. If the former management that opened this place returns, I would be willing to give it another shot. But I think that is...
Read moreWe ordered a pizza with pineapple, mushrooms, tomatoes, chicken and canadian bacon. Ordered for pickup and immediately when we got in the car we smelled the pizza and it smelled a little off, but we thought it must be the mix of ingredients creating the strange aroma. Once we got home and were about to eat it, the smell was more easily identified. It turns out that the ham had turned and was bad which gave it a very fishy scent. When meat goes bad, even fish which generally has no real smell when fresh, it creates a fishy smell due to the bacterial growth. I called to inform them of the situation and was told that the woman who answered the phone went into the back and tried some of the ham and it was ok. I said that we weren't going to eat the pizza for fear of food poisoning. We were not offered any sort of refund, only that we could drive back and they would make us a new pizza. I will not be eating at this place again, nor will I recommend...
Read moreThe only redeeming quality about Giuseppe's is the service. From the phone call to picking up my order, the manager(?) was kind and friendly.
The pizza was terrible. It tasted like it was from a public school cafeteria. The dough tasted bland and was perhaps undercooked. When I looked at pictures from other posts, my crust didn't have the same volume. The toppings were not fresh; they seemed preserved. I was excited that they had chili oil, but the oil didn't have any flavor from the chili.
I've been trying out pizza places in the area and food-wise, this was by my...
