Juice Stop — Restaurant in Glendale

Lovely place. Looks like a pizza place from the outside, but they have sandwiches, salads, pizza, and I guess, most of the customers seem to come for the fresh juices. The ambiance inside is really nice, and there are at least four to six tables outside.

I had their gyro sandwich, which was gyro meat, tomatoes, pickles, parsley, onion(?), and some sauce in a long (French?) roll? The combined flavor was so unusual for me even though I've had Mediterranean type food for decades! It was delicious! And the bread, in particular, was really tasty. Not a complaint, but the sandwich was a bit too big for me. Actually, would've been fine for two people since it also came with fries.

The lady at the front was so kind and sweet. And they don't tack on an automatic tip or even force you to push a tip button on the screen. Just a basket for tip, which I appreciated in this day and age when many places just automatically add a % service charge without even an announcement!

Food was 5 stars, but the answer that they gave me on a specific dietary restriction that I had was, in my opinion, dishonest. I asked them about certain ingredients in the pizza the first time I went to this place and the gentleman at the front desk told me that they would do what I asked them, and I trusted. Interestingly, the second time that I went there, I wanted to order the same thing on the assumption that it would be as the previous case. However, this time that gentleman was not there and it was another person. That person told me that they do not do such a thing at all. There, I figured that the last time that gentleman just appeared to ask the chef to do such a thing while it actually could not have happened. Very very very disappointed as it appears that honesty is not the currency...
