I'll start by saying that the staff were very friendly and definitely get a 5* rating. However, I cannot say the same for their food. Disclaimer--I don't eat very much Thai food, and the Thai I've had has usually been pretty Americanized, but I have really enjoyed it in the past. Here's the breakdown of what I thought of their food: Pork in general: the seasoning for their pork was kind of gross. It just tasted off. Wanton soup: the wantons (pork) tasted okay and the broth was buttery and good. The wantons honestly just threw off the whole thing. Beef and mushroom stir fry: the noodles were amazing! The veggies were terrible. They were soggy and the giant mushrooms were so slimy it was like trying to swallow slugs. Fried Rice: It looked fantastic, tasted subpar, and smelled hauntingly like opening up a container of dry dog food. Pork egg rolls: these were the best part of our meal. That sauce they provide is outstanding and they were fried perfectly. The pork was just okay. Pho: it's hard to go wrong with pho in general. This just tasted okay though. It lacked crispy vegetables though to freshen it up and provide a nice texture. To top it off, I found a little filmy piece of plastic in stir fry. That was not pleasant, but it wasn't very big and this review is primarily based on their food--not these weird little objects that have the potential to turn up by accident at any establishment. Perhaps you are just in love with Thai food, and if that's the case you will probably love this place regardless. If you're like me where you don't eat Thai often, you may want to consider passing up this place, regardless of the...
Read moreThis place was awesome! We loved the ambiance of the place walking in and opening the door we were hit with amazing smells of food cooking. After being seated I’m not going to lie the menu was a little hard to surf through and read. But that was the only downside to this place. Waiter was really nice and helpful though with some of the questions we ended up having. We ordered the 6 pork potstickers, N1, and D1. I’ve been looking for a good potsticker spot for a while and this was what I’ve been waiting for! Done to perfection and had a really good sweet-ish sauce to dip them in. N1 came out and we were super happy with how good it was and the portion size for the price of the dish. Very good flavor, nothing too overwhelming and the beef was tender. D1 was also done to perfection and again a great portion size for the price. It came out bubbling and steaming for a nice display. Felt like I was eating healthy at the same time with the different vegetables and chicken in this dish. You were able to pull up the chicken at the bottom of the dish that has been soaking in the sauce below and eat it with some vegetable so you get a great taste of everything in the dish. Definitely will get again. Overall great experience and I will be back again for those potstickers! I want to try out some other...
Read moreIt had been years since my wife and I had ate at Little Saigon. We remembered the great food and amazing service we received years back and always talked about going back to enjoy their food again. After several years, last week we decided to have dinner at Little Saigon again. Our daughter is a picky eater and did not enjoy the stir fry noodles, as she was expecting more of the typical chain restaurant taste. However, when she tried some of the pho my wife ordered, she wanted a bowl for herself. We ordered a smaller portion but were surprised that it was still a heaving portion from which two toddlers can easily share. She ate most of it and enjoyed it very much, just like my wife. My son ate all the chicken that was in the stir fry but didn't care much for the noodles and veggies. He is less picky and eats mostly everything, so perhaps the stir fry noodles taste wasn't appealing to my children's palate. I ordered the grilled beef rice plate, which also included a small portion of vegetables and a pork egg roll. The rice was very tasty and the pork egg rolls are simply addicting. The grilled beef, though, was not much to my liking. I decided that next time I will stick to the pho as that and the pork egg rolls are the best tasting food items they serve. We will dine...
