I don't like giving a bad review. But with this one I must write something about it. I sent a private message to them and gave them my honest opinion. I guessed they didn’t like it, so I was flat out ignored. And here I am writing this review. We had a graduation party, and I thought it would be a great idea to try with lechon (roast pig) as our main dish. So I reached out with Lutong Bahay restaurant to order one. They gave me pricing for small, medium, and large. I decided to try out the small 30/less pounders at $320. Two days before the party, I confirmed by sending a private message, and immediately received a response. When I came to pick it up, I saw the lechon in the back of the kitchen wrapped up with foil. The gentleman brought the lechon out. It was exposed with no cover. From looking at it, I could tell it was burnt, the tail, ears and feet were almost gone. I didn’t say anything because I did not want to spoil it. I was thinking maybe it would be just that and might be still crispy (malutong) as all lechon should be. As soon as I put inside the car, I could smell it like a burnt lumber. I went home and immediately apologized to the guests. I let them know how bad the lechon was. They all looked at it and agreed that it looked like it was cooked days prior and just reheated it up a few times. It was not crispy at all, rubbery or leather jacket kind a bite (over exaggerated here 😊). Prior to this, I heard mixed reviews about Lutong Bahay’s lechon. I thought I would give it a try, and to be honest I was disappointed. But I should give the staff credit though because they were nice. When I first walked in, I was greeted accordingly. Hence I must mention when I finished paying and walking out, no one offered me to help nor tried to hold the door for me. I was struggling but managed to go through the door by kicking the swinging door several times while holding this burnt lechon. The question is, should I buy lechon again from Lutong Bahay? Maybe If I received an honest answer/apology, I may not write this review. And only then I might give it a try again. But I am not here writing review to discourage anyone not to buy. Anyone who wants to try their service and food you should try it yourself and be the judge and not be the bad guy. Appreciate you took your time reading this and you have a wonderful day!

We were visiting from out of town for a family reunion and needed to bring Filipino options. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was ok. Was just nice to know there were Filipino options in the area. We dined in and took a lot of food to go. Prices were pretty much standard, just high. Idk why Filipino food is always on the higher end?!? ***In response to the OWNER: I made a comment about the pricing. I tried to be gentle about the food quality. His response, however, was not gentle and quite confrontational. This caught me off guard. I want to be fully transparent with you and share that if the quality had been there, I would have been more than happy to pay the given prices. In the future, I would caution you against making stereotypes, lumping Filipinos together, and making assumptions after a review is posted about your restaurant.

This by far was the cleanest Filipino restaurant that I tried. The meals were delicious (I did the to-go and brought these fantastic meals home). The employees were clear, kind & respectful. The ambiance was perfect. They didn't play loud music which made sense to quietly choose and enjoy your meals. Lastly, they have a mini sari-sari store if you want to get some of your favorite Filipino snacks back home. Highly recommended & will tell this location to my friends. Thanks!

If you want efficiency for a large order please go somewhere else. Unless you are ordering lechon maybe you might have a better result. My mom and I had ordered a large order for our baby sprinkle earlier this year and food was not even ready within the time frame given. It took an additional 40+ min to prepare food we had pre ordered weeks in advance and called in a few days prior to confirm. Make sure you never order their lechon kawali it lacks immense flavor. Their chicken adobo isn’t traditional in the slightest it’s almost like a thick gravy with chicken wings the pieces are so small. I have made chicken adobo with my mom for well over 20+ years and never had a chicken adobo like that at any Filipinos house. Traditional adobo is made with soy sauce, vinegar and a little bit of sugar and bay leaves. This was no where near that. I didn’t try the pancit, the lumpia was okay. The main star was a mistake since they didn’t have enough lechon kawali for our order. They gave us lechon and ended up being the best thing available.

After practically with the owner on Yelp for their endless mistakes and how much we spent on those mistakes and him giving an exact amount like people REALLY need to know down to the EXACT penny what was spent i doubt I’d ever want to even come here if my life depended on it. If he didn’t do that I’d totally consider going there still for baked goods and If i needed a lechon fix. But because of the owner i will not even recommend this place for anything to be honest. So for now I’ll be hunting the valley for better lechon etc. The never ending hunt is on. Why owners want to continue to battle people on their opinions is beyond me. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and when you get ego driven owners it’s just bad news.

**just because i post on different apps for my reviews doesn’t mean I’m making things personal if i really wanted to go out of my way to “destroy” businesses I’d give only 1 star across the board and never once did that. Giving my honest review isn’t a crime for telling people...

I’m writing this review because it’s important to hold businesses accountable especially if a customer spent a ton of money for a catering service. My family and I have placed a big order from this restaurant twice now, 1) for my sister’s wedding a couple years ago, then 2) last night for our Christmas party this year at my sister’s house in Glendale. Both orders included a several tray orders and lechon. Both times requested to have the lechon cut up since we don’t have the right tools to do so at home, and obviously for convenience so that my family and our guests can just pick out the lechon portion and eat with ease. I’d like to know how your establishment have the gull to reassure your customers that the lechon would be cut up upon delivery and also add on extra fee for that service but yet on the day off you guys insist that the lechon shouldn’t be cut up because “people would want to take selfies with it”. IF WE WANTED TO NOT HAVE THE LECHON CUT UP WE WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU SO. We clearly made such request for a reason. Stop lying to your customers and reassuring them you would provide a service, charge them extra for it, and then NOT ACTUALLY DO IT. That’s called a scam and a shitty way to run a business. DO BETTER.

You guys delivered the lechon to the house yesterday and still proceeded to not cut the lechon knowing what my sister requested upon delivery… customers shouldn’t have to request again to cut up the lechon if you guys already know the specifics of the order. It’s really counter productive. You guys have my sister’s contact info and her name is Leslie Williams. You can contact her directly then and refund her credit card for the...
