Nersses Vanak Restaurant — Restaurant in Glendale

This is probably the worst restaurant in all of Glendale in regards to customer service. My husband and I had 2 plates of chicken kabob with soft drinks and a plate of appetizers that should be around $40 we have been visiting this place for a while because their Grill Chicken is really good. And we Ususally tip the only server in the place, a very nice guy cash because we were told that the owner pocket the tip.

The owner is probably the rudest guy in all of Glendale. Today when I ask to inquire why we were unreasonably overcharged, he yelled at me in front of all his customers. He said loudly that we have been coming to his place and not leaving tip. First off, even if I didn't tip, that would be none of his darn business. I know why he was upset because he wasn't pocketing the tip himself.

This was the worst experience of my life at a restaurant and I will never again go back...

Looks can be deceiving!! This is a great restaurant that’s located in a safe but not posh area. Upon arrival you are asked to grab a seats. Your server will drop off a small laminated menu on your desk. Moments later another server will ask you if you want anything to drink. I was traveling solo so I asked for Kashk e Bademjoon as appetizers and lamb chops for main dish. I had Doogh for a drink. The kashk e badamjoon was excellent and flavorful. Without asking I was served a freshly baked naan with white onions and mint leaves. The naan was hot, soft on the edges ans crispy center. Awful service, not coming back. Food is overpriced, portions are pretty small. They don't give you free water and the tea we ordered was in a much smaller glass than the other people they served. They took the glass away from our table before we even finished it or asked for a refill. When we kindly asked why we were given a smaller portion, the waiter brushed us off and rudely said they ran out of glasses (even though they served the other table the big glasses after us??) Not sure if we were treated differently because we were younger/an interracial group. Would highly recommend going to Raffis...
