I don't get a chance to come to Shakey's Pizza that often. Not from the area I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area and love Shakey's as we used to have one many years ago. this trip to La is long and tedious with a lot of work ahead. The only chance I had to go to Shakey's with last night. The Shakey's special is a piece of that just can't be beat! At least that is how I remember it. Unfortunately I was not able to indulge last night because they only serve it as a small medium large or extra-large Pizza. It does not come in the personal size. I was quite upset when I realized I was not going to get my shake of Shakey's on this trip. The gentleman who helped was also pretty direct and without much of a personality, certainly needs help with his customer service skills.
Maybe next time I attend Shakey's I'll have someone to share a pizza with, or they will change there offer and have a personal size pizza in the shaky special available. Until then I get to know if they're Shakey's Special is still as good as...
Read moreI do not recommend this Shakeys. Customer service is nonexistent and quality is lacking.
Incident #1: called to place an order, was immediately asked to hold (which I understand) but after 20 mins I thought maybe he forgot and hung up to call again. Second time I call, again put on hold and wait for another 20 mins. Decided to hang up and go somewhere else. Maybe it's just a really busy day for them.
Incident #2: they got my whole order completely wrong and cold, even down to the wrong size order, and when I spoke with the manager Juan to resolve the issue, he was very rude and immediately defensive, he told me it was my fault and that if I don't like it "then don't come back to Glendale!!" That's when I knew I was dealing with someone unreasonable and discriminatory.
I absolutely do NOT recommend this place. Save yourself and go somewhere else. If you need Shakeys, go to the one on Sunset. It might be a drive, but at least they've got...
Read moreI love going to any Shakey's branch. They did a nice job revamping their image while still maintaining a friendly family vibe.
It was my first time at the Monterey Park location. We went on a Thursday night and it was pretty packed. They had a good amount of parking, but we still had to wait for someone to leave to grab a spot.
We ordered a medium pizza (half pepperoni/mushroom, half pepperoni/sausage/onions) and of course some mojo potatoes! The pizza was good (We got thing crust), but it was the mojo potatoes that stole the show! It might have been the best ones I have ever had.
The men's restroom was pretty small for the size of the restaurant. I'm assuming it's the same in the ladies room. Other than that I think this location is one of the...
