After driving around looking for Chinese food between Glendale and Eagle Rock my wife and I found this place, at first we thought should we stay (because it didn't look great from the outside) but the wife and I decided to stay and try it out, hey some of the VERY best places in Los Angeles started out or are STILL holes in the wall. Liked that the place was clean and allows dine in. The owner (well I'm assuming that he is)was very accommodating and an over all nice guy. My wife and I started with Wor Wonton Soup followed by entrees of Mongolian Beef & Salt Squid all accompanied by white rice and a Coke. The portions were just right for the 2 of us. We ordered the Mongolian beef which was really good, the sweet and sour chicken which had decent flavor, but was covered in a little two much breading. We also ordered the dim sum platter which we didn't care for, but I really think that is much more a personal thing as opposed to the quality of the food. The BBQ spare ribs had great flavor and were meaty. We did a whole section of what looked like spine in that dish which was a little off putting. Didn’t get my boba tea, but somehow ended up with egg drop soup which was pretty flavorless. Also flavorless was the orange chicken, and even worse the breading was soggy/mushy and temperature lukewarm as though it had been sitting out for a pretty long while - absolutely unappetizing. The cream cheese wontons were also soggy, and there’s not much filling in them. Fried rice that came with the combo was good, but overall disappointed with the rest of the order. I ordered from them on Christmas Day, maybe they are better other days of the year, but I won’t be coming...
