Great Staff, Ok accommodations, unreliable WiFi Keeping in mind that this is a two-star motel, we did not expect it to be luxurious. However, the rooms and bathrooms as well as furniture, are a bit dated. There are a lot of markings on the walls, so it could have done with some new paint. The rooms were clean, but the bathroom mirror was cracked. The bath towels seems a bit on the old side. However, the room had a small refrigerator and a microwave. There was no safe. Glendale is a nice area and our windows faced into the inner courtyard, so it was quiet during the night. We did not hear any of our neighbors on either side, but we could hear other guests walking in the room above us. The water pressure in the faucet was good and temperature consistent, but the shower head was old and the water spray did not deliver as well as it could have. Internet signal was strong, but unreliable; it would randomly shut off and one would have to reconnect again. This was probably the most bothersome issue. We also had a flood, when water started gushed from underneath the sink. We were not in the room at the moment when it started, but since we were only gone for about 40 minutes or so, we were able to alert the management almost right away. Luckily, there was a large garbage can underneath the sink, which caught some water and we quickly pulled the garbage can from the bathroom and replaced it. There was still a lot of water on the floor, and we had to wade into the bathroom to get our things out. Also, my suitcase that was sitting next to the sink was a hard-shell type, so even though it was in water, there was no damage to anything inside of it. The management reacted very promptly, they offered us a different room and help moving our things. They were very courteous and professional. We were moved from a double room with one queen bed to a larger room with two queen beds and more space. Things like that happen, so we were not at all upset about that. Especially considering how quickly the management took care of us after the incident. Overall it was...
Read moreThis place was an absolute nightmare! My entire room (room 201) was filled with roaches. They were literally everywhere, the sink, the desk, the tv, even in the bed. I must of killed around 30 of them. There is no way housekeeping was not aware of this, I even found dead small baby roaches in the fridge and microwave. I didn't get a moments of peace my entire stay there as I was afraid of when the next roach would come out. Because of the recent storm most places were fully booked or had doubled their prices so I couldn't just pick up my things and leave. With the amount of roaches in my room I'm quite sure the entire hotel is infested with them.
In addition to the roach problem, my room was not thoroughly cleaned before I checked in. High-touch areas like the light switches, door handles and knob for the AC were covered in dirt. The laminated TV guide was covered in food stains, the blow dryer was covered in dirt and makeup, there was hair on the walls and sides of the tub, the chairs had clearly visible stains and were covered in crumbs. The other guests in the hotel would hang outside my room talking loudly on the phone broadcasting all their drama to everyone. As soon as I walked in my room I saw a hole in the ceiling right above the door, there were stains on my sheets and the wifi was horribly slow. This place seriously needs to be shutdown until it gets its roach problem under control and hire new housekeeping that will fully clean the rooms after guests leave. The clear infestation of roaches is a serious health hazard. I had to thoroughly check all my bags before leaving and wipe down all my things from roaches crawling...
Read moreWas originally staying in room 201 but had to move because for one my father and I got tired of alternating the use of the bed. Also the amount of roaches that were in the room. Once we moved out of room 201 the housekeeping told the management we brought in the roaches which was not true at all. They moved us to room 207 and the room was somewhat cleaner than 201 after a couple of days of staying in room 207 I came home from work and used the restroom and found graffiti on the bathroom door. I took a picture and went to management to notify them and the guy said he would come up and see it in the morning. As the morning came instead of the manager calling me he called my grandmother telling her that my father and I had to leave. On top of that they have a juice machine that is not in service and does not provide complimentary breakfast. Also, during the stay housekeeping knocked on our door and asked us for towels as if they did not have any what hotel ever does that. By the way if you are trying to use the internet in the room its slow to none you have to sit outside on the patio to get a decent signal. They state no smoking in the room but when i walk past to leave for work or sit on the patio in their designated smoking area i see people smoking in the room. Another thing to add is in room 207 the microwave warms up your food but the table does not turn inside and will burn whatever you are warming up The only front desk person that is nice is Avi and they work him like a dog. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Better off spending a few extra dollars than trying to save a dollar...
