Update: They called me a few days after the review to apologize for the service... credited the meals and invited us back for another try. We'll be taking them up on that for sure... really, stand up and move to reach out like that. Will update next time we go in.
Had high hopes but ended up disappointed. I'll give them a break on the service as they were really busy when we picked up our order. We ordered on-line, arrived on time to pick it u and , wasn't quite ready so we sat the pick-upup area. We saw a to go bag on the counter but didn't know if it was ours, it sat there for 5 minutes while we sat there and no one said a thing. We'd already checked in so they knew we had a to go, finally someone asked again and it was our food. We ordered the street tacos, carne asada, Chile relleno, Baja tacos, and cheese enchiladas. The care asada was chewy, my son barely ate it, and the serving was rather small. The carne asada taco in the street tacos was the same. Also, the potato taco in the street tacos were cold. The Chile Relleno was still uncooked, it was warm, cheese kind of melty but the pepper was uncooked, very snappy, we didn't even hardly touch it. The cheese enchiladas were good and the baja tacos were decent. The chips and salsa were actually the best part, chips were light, fresh and crunchy and the salsa was tasty and just right and spicy. Doubtful we'll order again, makes us miss...
Read moreI was excited to finally try a new taco shop. The food was good but not great. The service was good. Unfortunately, it really fell short with regard to the portion sizes and attention to detail. The first thing I noticed was no bringing out of chips and salsa. Kind of a bummer.
I really liked the ceviche, but the $16 price tag was way too high, especially since I had to spend an extra dollar on chips, and it should have been 2X the portion size. The shrimp, along with the veggies were also cut way too big and I think the shrimp may have been par-boiled (not sure how the acidity of the marinade could have cooked the size of the shrimp at any rate).
Next, the asada and shrimp tacos were woefully inadequate, needing at least double the meat. The asada didn’t have a whole lot of flavor and the shrimp were not seasoned much. Again, good but not great. I’d try it again for sure, but after the first go, I’m a little concerned I might leave hungry… Still worth...
Read moreI have been waiting for this restaurant to open, and I certainly am not disappointed! Food is remarkable. And the service is prompt and courteous. And I just love the atmosphere—dining here is delightful. I ordered quite a few small plates from the Spanish side, and was really pleased with all of them flavors really shine through and you can taste pretty much everything they put into them. Their chorizo is fabulous! The shrimp top plate was so flavorful, and there was plenty of shrimp. I love ceviche, and theirs is absolutely excellent. My son stopped by the table and pretty much ate all my guacamole, which was very tasty. You will not be disappointed if you come...
