Dave & Buster's Gloucester — Restaurant in Gloucester Township

We went there, mainly to eat at the restaurant because I remember going to Philadelphia at the Dave & Buster’s, They had great food so we were coming to this location for the first time. When we arrive, there were three or four employees standing just to the right of the entrance where you can be seated in the dining room area or you can be seated to the left where the big screen TVs are and we were seated right away. Our server that took our order was obviously new but she was working hard, very nice. Service took longer than expected but Overall we were happy with the service. The food there is truly above and beyond and I give it five stars easily. When we first received the menu, we were a little worried because the menu does not do the food justice. It’s a two sided laminated menu with no photos and it left us wondering what the food would be like. I would recommend going on Google maps and looking at the food photos that people post from their photos. If you do this first, the menu will make a little more sense, but I wish they could improve the menu design a little bit especially for the dining room area. The sports bar area next to the dining room, which is a huge open Space is amazing with very large green TVs and plenty of places to sit. They do seem to have plenty of staff, so that’s very good. The noise level coming from all of the games on the opposite end of the building is a little bit much and I wish that noise level was about half of what it is at least in the dining area. In the gaming area the noise level is just off the charts, it’s way too loud and does not enhance the experience in the gaming area. The noise from the gaming area sounds like a rumbling roar when you eating your food and trying to watch the large screen TVs. Hard to have a conversation. There should be more of a balance because it’s all open space. The building is newer and everything is very well done, there’s tons of great games to play. I thought their bar area was amazing. It’s designed very well and lots of open spaces places to mingle places to sit. To the management, If you have a new server and you’re trying to give them the responsibility and the workload, I get it, but don’t sacrifice the dining experience of the customer who is spending $65 to $80 per couple for a delicious meal with equally great service and night out. I would definitely recommend this location for anyone who wants to go to an amazing sports bar, eat some delicious food and have the option to play some games. My husband and I visited Dave and Buster's tonight, and I have to say it was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. I would like to preface this by saying our waitress seemed like she had waiting experience but was just overwhelmed and the restaurant seemed very understaffed. There were not enough servers for the overly large sections, so that contributed to slow service.

The atmosphere was a little weird as well. It's advertised as adult chuck e cheese with alcohol and good bar food, and from what I can tell this is false advertising. It's just chuck e cheese with the amount of children and toddlers you have around the bar with you. Definitely strange, definitely don't love it.

Now onto the food. The drink I had was very good, so there was some hope still for a good meal. The pot stickers and mozzarella sticks came out, and the pot stickers were very good giving me even more hope that the Hawaiian chicken sandwich would be even better, and maybe I was just a little hangry.

It was about 45 minutes into our culinary experience when the sandwich arrived. It didn't look Hawaiian, and if you've ever had anything "Hawaiin" I'm sure you know what flavor profile is expected. I tried to cut into the sandwich with a butter knife because I did not want to ask for a steak knife, and I could not get through it. I passed the sandwich over to my husband assuming that it was my knife folly. He looked at me and said "it feels EXTRA crispy 😬". I was thinking that the crispiness would be a good thing, but he was awaiting my visceral reaction upon taking my first bite. This sandwich was the dryest sandwich I've ever had the displeasure of biting into. I even tried the other side thinking maybe I just got a lot of the breading, and the other side was worse somehow. I got roasted cauliflower on the side which I can only describe as tasting like the smell of a shoe store. I never return food because I don't like to waste it, but this got returned within four bites. We did not stick around for anything else.

1st experience coming to Dave’s & busters at the Blackwood location drinks tasted like juice instead of a mixed drink 2nd experience my family and I had to wait 2 hours just to be seated to eat with a RESERVATION!! and the 3rd time coming to the same location i decided to go on my 27th birthday with my husband to at least try to get some appetizers and drinks to celebrate and decided to sit at the bar the bartender asked us for ID I gladly showed bartender mines and husband left his at home by mistake and told bartender he only has a picture as we know they couldn’t accept pictures she told us she could grab a manger for us to see if he could bypass it WE DECLINED THE OFFER of wanting to speak to a manger the bartender kept assisting saying “it’s worth a try” held MY drink back for almost 15 mins due to grabbing a manger after we told her we didn’t want one.. when the manger taliez not sure I’m spelling name correctly came to us first thing he said was that he couldn’t accept the picture which we already knew and husband wanted me to drink and eat since I was the one who already showed them my physical ID to have a good time Since it’s my birthday as he just orders foods and was told by the manager that we BOTH have to get up and leave the bar to sit at table bc my 29 year old husband didn’t have a physical ID saying it’s “against the law to sit at the bar without having ID present” I WAS WILLING STAY until he made us MOVE SEATS when I left I looked up if his statement was true on google and it WAS NOT!!! It states that you don’t need an ID to sit at the bar especially if a person is only ordering food.

So not just declining to speak to a manger, we was forced to speak to him, falsely lied to make us move seats and it’s OUR 3rd time coming to this lotion with an issue of terrible service !! .. 3 STRIKES and you’re OUT !!! This is the by far the worst !! Dave and buster to ever exist let alone visit !! And really wish I could take this matter to higher up cooperate !!! Don’t waste yall money here !!...
