Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Goldsboro

The place is very dysfunctional. And warm. From the start, we were assigned a server The server took the drinks and disappeared. Someone else showed up and asked to take our order. We were like Where is our original server. We ordered the chicken fettuccine is supposed to come with breadsticks. Some new server comes to the table brings us our meal there's no there's no breadsticks and on top of that I was a little bit confused on what I had ordered because I had thought that it was chicken fingers as the chicken not a big piece of chicken breast so that's on me I didn't have my reading glasses on and the lights are very dim in there. But anyway, the girl tells us that they ran out of breadsticks and that they were making more and that they would bring them bring the breadsticks to the table. Lauren behold we finished the meal no breadsticks showed up. Our original server came back to the table and we started discussing a credit because the meal was supposed to come with breadsticks She said there would be no credit we would have to pay for the full meal. I want to be clear we were not trying to get a full meal credit just something off because we ordered the meal and it was marketed as coming with breadsticks we had already finished our meal and no breadsticks show up she tells us that they ran out of breadsticks once I told her that the other server that bought the plates to us said they were make some more breadsticks she then tell us oh let me go and see low and behold she shows up with breadsticks at this point we're ready to go. We left a $2.00 tip and just left. 🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿 The place is a joke. And by the way, fix the lights in there it's Applebee's not fine dining the lights don't need to be that dim so people can't see the menu....

First off I don't do a lot of reviews but this one was warranted. As far as the food and service I wouldnt know because Ive never eaten there but I'm speaking on the confusion I was out thru with their hiring process. I go to the interview which this particular day I had two. Applebee's was first. Sat down with the new Assistant GM or GN can't remember but seemed well enough. Told me I had the job and wud call or text me to let me know about hours and to introduce to the manager. Never happened!! I did more calling them than they did me. Granted wen they told me I got the job I declined the other. I called the manager and was told he wud call me back later that day. Never heard from him that day or any other day afterwards. The person that interviewed me was able to speak to him and he kept telling me about a position that I didn't apply for nor had any interest in doing full time. I did however tell him I wud help in that area. It was the same repetitive process with these people for almost two weeks until I gave up. It wasn't worth the headache. I was over qualified for the position I applied for and I really wanted that particular job only because it got paid daily. Do urself a favor and stay away from the confusion of this place. Management is totally bogus and they pay no attention to your resume. They'll stick you or try to stick you in the kitchen for meager earnings. They are totally confused on the hiring front...

I was slightly disappointed this visit. We got seated and the waitress that came over was super friendly and helpful at first. We placed our order and waited for our drinks. Someone else brought our drinks. At this point we have drinks but no napkins or silverware. It's not an issue so far but my frozen drink was extremely full so as soon as I stirred it of course it spilled. It wasn't much so no biggie. Now our food is here and we still have no napkins or silverware. We ask the person that brought our food(not our waitress) could we get napkins and silverware. She makes a big deal about us not having any and brings napkins. We're sitting there still waiting for silverware and after about 5 minutes our waitress finally comes over and asks how everything was. At this point I'm irritated and I let her know we can't eat because we don't have silverware. She brings it back and of course I'm over the night because on top of that it's freezing in there. I start eating and my food is already starting to get cold. I ended up getting a to go box. It was so cold I couldn't even wait for my boyfriend to pay. I went to the car and waited for him. The waitress was great when she interacted with us but not making sure we had utensils to eat was a big letdown. Having to then sit trying to get someone's attention and I'm freezing really killed my vibe. I frequent this establishment and will go again but tonight was...
