I would usually give McDonald's a 5 star rating, especially this one because of it's location on the city's most populous street. Usually that's a negative when you're trying to exit the driveway into busy traffic; but this locale is ideal. Even without the benefit of a stoplight, you're able to enter and exit with ease. The addition of stoplights 1/32nd of a mile in either direction make these "fast getaways" seamless. I also, usually rate this particular chain of "heart attack food" a 5 because they're magically consistent in the, less than optimal foods you receive. Let's face it, with few exceptions, this is not a place people get excited to go, it's a place you go to out of necesity, or because you're running late. Most 7tr is would disagree, but I think I hit the target on that assessment. This one got a 2, because since their post- March, covid-19 panic closing for a couple weeks, they've been awful in every since of the word. Which says allot about the chain itself, more than this stores staff. Every order is usually made wrong, no employee smiles, and what used to be a drive-thru that took 3min to navigate start to finish during lunch rush, it's now 12min on average. It's obvious the problem stems from workers who are all considering quitting in the near future. While this store, and many like it in NC were "closed due to virus" for 2 or 3 months, the $7.85 buck an hour employees were getting unemployment checks around $700 a week. That's nearly triple what they are making IF they were lucky enough to get a whole 40hrs. And honestly readers, I think they have every right to be upset. The people working there are the same people that work at every McDonald's 90% minority kids just trying to get by. Maybe help their mom with a fraction of the rent and save 3 months to buy a decent pair of shoes, or take their partner to a nice dinner. These are people, NO!!! THESE ARE YOUNG AMERICAN UNDERPRIVILEGED KIDS. The ones that America forgets about, and truly wonders why they commit a felony years down the road. But for a short time during a pandemic, mind you, they were payed a livable wage that nether of their parents probably ever thought possible. They aren't people mad, that they can't get paid for doing nothin anymore, they're people who quite likely, for the last time in their life, got to feel like their Caucasian counterparts. They experienced something that myself, and the majority of the country take for granted; SELF WORTH AND DIGNITY. Now, make no mistake, I'm a die hard capitalist, but, SHAME ON MCDONALD'S, I love blue chip companies, that being home billions year end and year of for 60-70 years. BUT OTHER SIMILAR POWER HOUSES OF INDUSTRY AT LEAST PAY THEIR EMPLOYEES ENOUGH TO AFFORD A CAR, AND HEALTH INSURANCE. ON THAT NOTE, I'M CHANGING YOU TO A 0 STAR RATING. I am now certain I know who made the makers of Ambien rich. How else would the exec's of this company...
Read moreMost of my experiences here have been rough to say the least. I usually only go here because it's around the corner and cookout is closed. The employees never seem happy to be at work or have a job at all while some folks can't seem to find a job no matter how hard they try. The window workers never have positive attitudes or seem welcoming. They seem like they hate their job, have no options and it's the customers fault they are depressed. I went there the morning of 3-7-19 for breakfast after taking my kids to school. I ordered a parfait, donut sticks, 2 bacon egg & cheese biscuits, as well as a #12 which is a steak egg and cheese bagel. I noticed my total was low at the window and the guy admitted he only charged me for the bagel not the meal. I paid the difference to get the meal. When I get home I did not have my hashbrown and the tea was nasty and tasted sour. So be very careful to check your food and take your drink. I paid for a whole meal but only got a...
Read moreThere is a customer line problem at this location. Most of the time there is one cashier/associate waiting on one single customer line. When the line gets too long, then maybe another cashier/associate will open another register. Then, when the single customer line gets down to one or two customers, new customers coming in will jump in front of the line when either cashier becomes available because the new customers think there are two customer lines. This unnecessarily causes customers to confront each other about the line breaking, while the cashier/associate stands back and says nothing. To remedy this problem, the cashier/associate should announce "Next in line, please" to serve the "next" customer in line. This situation has happened to me on more than one occasion. I'm sure it has happened to many other customers. Fix the problem please or I will go...
