I visited the store for the first time, and a woman came out from the back, questioning why I was there, as if the store was closed or I didn’t belong. When I asked, she confirmed the store was open but then inquired about my ethnicity and what kind of items I was looking for, immediately following up with what ethnic products she carried, as if I wouldn’t be interested in anything they offered. It felt like she was trying to get me to leave the moment I walked in. I had already mentioned that it was my first time there and that I wanted to see what items they had. Her attitude was presumptuous and unprofessional for a business owner. The store itself is small with narrow aisles, which is fine, but what really concerned me was the black mold I found on their refrigerated items. It’ll be the first and last time I visit. I’m glad she gave me such an unwelcoming reception; now I can continue shopping at the other Asian market down the street, where they keep their stock fresh and have much more pleasant...
