Harbor Freight — Local services in Goldsboro

In December 2019 my husband went in to buy a air compressor. He needed a bigger one and the store only had one left that was used and out of the box on the sales floor. Since it was opened the employee sold it to him and rang it up as a 5 gal air compressor and he paid $80 for the two year warranty. It recently stopped working. He took it into the store this past Thursday to exchange it. The employee told him there is nothing she can do he would have to come back Saturday when the manager was in bc the receipt did not match the product. Today he went back in and was all but called a liar . They stated there was no way he got that compressor for that price. He had the receipt with the date and time and ask them to pull the cameras in which they refused to do so. He even had a picture with the same date as the receipt in his phone of that compressor. He was refunded what he paid for the air compressor. They would not refund him his warranty nor would they honor his warranty. He spends so much money in this establishment I can not believe the poor service he received. We will be contacting corporate and possibly a lawyer. I advise everyone to shop here with caution as they obviously are not a company of their word and...

Love this place! While getting my boat serviced in Goldsboro, NC, I needed to find a light to help me back my boat into our HOA coral after a day on the water. There are no lights and I learned it is very difficult to back in at night or even in the early morning. I found this awesome headlamp that you put on your head, but it can also be used as just a great light. The staff was very helpful in helping me determine what light to purchase, I was looking at a spot or this headlamp. I asked was there someplace dark I could compare the two lights. They were very accommodating and nice in helping me. I’ve always tried to be kind to folks in retail, because I’ve worked it and I know how sometimes customers can be a real pain sometimes, and now since COVID some feel like they have to be even meaner. It’s nice to see folks being kind to one another in very difficult times. I will say this, this store in Goldsboro was a lot nicer than the folks at my store in Wilmington, sorry guys, but it’s the truth! Good stuff, great prices! For you, let’s see....
