I have stopped here off & on over the last 8 months & the food is always good. This visit (Tuesday, April 24), my daughter was with me & we decided to dine inside, instead of going through the drive thru. Now, I'm a fairly optimistic person & remember trying to cheer the young man up that was working the drive thru on my past visit, when I could hear the grouchy old woman in front of me giving him a hard time. So, back to this visit. As we stood in line behind a couple and their child, the cashier was having an issue with the card reader & called out to one of the 6 or 7 people in the kitchen area. She was ignored & ended up getting it to work on her own. She was polite when she greeted us, but I could tell she was very frustrated. She brought our food to the table & we ate our meal. On our way out, I stepped up to the counter to order a dipped cone and had to wait until someone in the kitchen area saw me. The young lady from earlier had left & no one was manning the front counter. A lady, which I believe was the manager, took my order & I went back to the table to pick up our garbage & tell my daughter it was time to go. This took mere seconds. When we returned to the counter area, we stood there for some time & I saw my cone sitting on the serving wall for the ice cream area. We waited & I watched as my cone began to melt & crack. A large family came in about that time & the woman who took my order looked up & said to me, "Ma'am, you can take your order". There was nothing polite about the way she said it. I was in shock at the lack of customer skills shown during this visit. Why would you completely ignore customers & then tell a customer to come on the backside of the counter to get their own order. I enjoy DQ food, but I won't be back there. I only get to stop when in town for an appointment, as I live over 30 miles from Goodyear & it's the closest DQ to us. So, the 3 stars are for the food & the initial cashier. Everyone in that restaurant looked miserable as heck & not one smile in sight. Too much...
Read moreWe went to lunch today and we pulled into the drive thru @10:32 paid @ 10:38, the lady Tiffany, who I was told was the manager, handed me the ice cream and told me to pull around front. Not friendly but hey we all have this days. I pulled around, waited until 10:51. I parked by the side door, so I thought I missed them, so I went to the front door, it was locked. I then went to the side door and it was open. I walked in to ask if I missed them. The same lad uh who took my order very loudly states YOU CANT BE IN HERE! I said OK but I've been waiting almost 15 minutes, my ice cream is melted and I still don't have my food, I thought I missed you all coming out..She said waiting for your chicken. About 4 minutes later she gave me my food and a fresh ice cream. I thought well ok. I get to the car, go to hand my mama and kids a few fries and they were ICE COLD! I go back to the same side door. It was now LOCKED. I stood there knocking for 3 minutes FINALLY Tiffany comes back and I told her my fries are cold and hard. She tells me "I'll give you new fries". I waited again. When I FINALLY get my food the fries were greasy, almost raw BUT hot. Oh and some guy brought it to me. I had to ask for a receipt. Now my ice cream was melted...AGAIN...and it was 11:06 when we drove away.
This was THE worse service I've EVER received. I will NEVER go back. Waiting 30 minutes for melted, cold, greasy food is not OK. Not to mention my chicken wasn't fully covered in sauce, HOT or FRESH! I tried calling them at 12:30 to speak with the district manager the young man told me about, but when I called it just rang and rang until I heard the "fax machine" sound. I tried again at 3pm and same thing.
I'm very unsatisfied and upset by...
Read moreAs of last night my daughter worked at Dairy Queen at McDowell and Dysart. I urge you to save your child and your money. Please do not support this business and for your own child’s safety please do not allow them to work here. It is owned by a family and if you are not family they don’t care about you. For months my daughter and other coworkers have been harassed and threatened by a fellow coworker. The managers and district manager knew and didn’t do anything about it. They ignored it all because she was a family member. Last night, my daughter walked to her car after her shift and was jumped by 4 girls. The establishment wouldn’t call the police; I had to call on my way there. The police were in shock at how uncooperative this business was with the investigation and said they have never seen a business act this way during an investigation. The manager wouldn’t give any information or release their security camera footage. Instead of calling the police, the manager on duty called another manager and had my daughter write a statement about what happened. They again are protecting their family by not wanting the police involved. This was a very scary situation for my 17 year old and I urge you to not let your kids work here and please don’t support this location. I have contacted corporate and a lawyer but no child should ever have to go through what my daughter...
