I was there 10/27/24 and was checked out by Cindy. She had the worst attitude from the moment we walked up. I was paying with cash because I lost my wallet and had no cards on me, so I made sure to do the math to make sure I had enough. I got to the register and somehow was about $30 over what I calculated. I asked the cashier to double-check that the price of everything was correct. She literally looked at the screen for about 5 seconds and said that everything was correct. I had my crying toddler in my arms, so I wasn't able to check the items myself, and I just paid and walked out. Once in the car, I checked the receipt, and one of the items was, in fact, incorrect. I went back, and Cindy, the same associate who checked me out, was at the return desk with the same rude attitude. I explained that as I had told her at the register when I asked her to double check, she had, in fact, overcharged me. She continued to be rude and answer in a tone with a horrible attitude. I asked her to call the manager over, and when the manager came over, it was STILL a disappointing experience. I explained everything that happened, and she had nothing to say. There was just silence as she kept looking at the receipt, and then she said, "Oh yeah, one of the items was wrong" and "I'm sorry about that," and that was it. I wasn't expecting a heartfelt apology, but the way she responded clearly let me know she did not care and saw nothing wrong with the cashiers customer service. Even at this point, the cashier continued with her attitude and snarky replies in front of the manager. I just grabbed my things and left. Based on other reviews, this is a constant thing at this location. Please avoid this store unless you are ready to be treated horribly.
You can see the location and that the same associate handled both transactions...
Read moreI had the worst shopping experience. Please read similar reviews about refunds and orders and believe when they say jcpenny will not give you your order or refunds. I seen a product online I liked that was on sale and I went in person not realizing the price was different. Laura is who checked me out she didn't know what she was doing. She said that I would get the online price and that she could place the order, she ended charging me regular price because she did not apply a code, so now I'm supposed to walk out without my product at the regular price. I had them cancel my order and management was rude. I checked my bank app and sure enough they charged the money. I asked for my refund right then but they said I would get my refund in 7 to 10 business days. I called customer service days before the 10th day and they told me the money was on HOLD. 10th day came and customer service said the money was never charged but yet I was still short. I went to the store and management stated they would "investigate" and they would call me that following Monday. I never got a call back so I went again and management said the same thing that the money was never charged. It went from 7 to 10 business days to its on HOLD to it never got charged sounds like a scam. Don't cancel or you get scammed. Also corporate is customer service at that point I knew they would not do anything and yes I was frustrated because the order was $100 +. A simple shopping day turned in to a nightmare. They lost a customer not that they care since their stores...
Read moreThe negative experience at this JCPenney store reminds me once again to not look for bargains at a JCPenney. I went to this store after receiving the $10 off $10 coupon, and the 25% off online & in store coupon, intended to purchase one pair of shoes. The shoes department was very small inside this huge store and it is very messy. You will see tried on shoes & sandals on the chair you sit to try on shoes. I was originally going to buy one of the two best shoes that fit me, only to be told by the cashier that the 25% coupon cannot be used on those. I had to take those back there, because the first cashier I saw was too lazy to do so.
I went back and found another two pairs of shoes that I eventually ended up getting one of them. This time the second cashier was not better, and gave me more hard times. The coupon I had did not work on the clearance Fila shoes I was going to buy after second trip from the shoe department to the cashiers, and they did not let me combine the 25% coupon with $10 off $10 coupon. It was also very much a hassle that I had to tell them that the price I saw online with the coupon that is good for in store. The worst of all is that their scanner was not working. That means I had to read the long MC code to the cashier.
I am seriously thinking about closing my JCPenney store card to further discourage me from shopping at JCPenney. I would rather spend more money for better customer service at...
