Sunday morning with my Wife and Son… It’s breakfast time… let’s enjoy some bagels! Not this time 🤔 it’s the employee/manager for me… nevertheless, It was not busy this morning, so, there was no wait! nice! We just ordered two bagels sandwiches, and a plain bagel, nothing fancy. The person taking the order had to have been nearing the end of their shift. They could really send to have cared less that they were interacting with other people face to face. “You pay down there” 👇… Ok, thanks! We all know the drill, $20 something bucks, and a tip before you receive the food. The order comes up quick… Nice! I Grab a few napkins for the table, and sit outside (morning in Arizona 😊). Unwrapped my sandwich (bacon, egg, cheese). I felt it, it was actually cold in the middle, lukewarm otherwise. I walk in to the counter, and I see my wife standing at the counter too. She said her sandwich was not warm either. I assume the manager (only one wearing a specific style of shirt) came up and remade my wife’s quickly … when she returned, I just asked if she could warm mine up for me, she said no, because of cross contamination. She educated me about this with a, I will say, demeaning tone, aa if I was to stood to know such things! But, she offered to remake it. We ate, it was hot, and it tasted good! My only, and it’s minor, issue with the food was that I bit down into a chunk of pepper, and well, that was nasty, but once I rinsed it it if my mouth with water, I was back in business again! So the reason I am even writing this review is because the staff, mainly the manager and the one who took the order, well they were not nice I guess you would say. I felt like I was a kid being disciplined at home for not liking my food or something. The body language, the “that’s the way it is” hand gestures from the manager… that’s the real disappointing part of this whole thing. I family and I will chalk these instances up to just not knowing what people are going through, and we have bad days, and sometimes customers can be rude! I am sure we have all seen these customers, Anna has an interaction with someone that just didn’t sit right. But after sitting, eating, and listening to other patrons, it was evident that our experience was not uncommon, and might actually have been a common theme? I wish that writing a “review” was not the way, but it honestly feels like this is what matters most, ratings. If I am wrong, I will remove this and it update it as soon as possible! I hope all customers ongoing have a great breakfast/start of your day stop at this location, it truly has the potential to be...
Read moreI went to this location in Goodyear a few weeks ago and the customer service I received sucked! I ordered my usual, a peanut butter and jelly on a plain bagel and the bacon, avocado tomato egg white sandwich. I waited very patiently to receive my meal as it took longer than normal just for them to hand me my peanut butter and jelly bagel unmade by them. I went up to one of the servers there and politely told him that I received my bagel unmade and would like them to make it for me, in which he responded “oh, we can’t make your bagel for you, do to possible allergies.” I let him know I never had this problem before and asked him if this was a new policy, in which he shrugged his shoulders . I asked him politely to get his manager. I see him walk up to a lady there talking to her, when he came back he handed me a butter knife and told me to make it myself and shrugged his shoulders again at me. The manager, knowing I was not pleased kept looking at me but didn’t bother to approach me, she even walked passed me to go to the back (without a care or bother to address her customers concerns) it was the WORST customer service experience I received by far. I sat there having to make my own sandwich which btw they didn’t heat my bagel and gave me a little peanut butter and one piece of jelly to cover my entire bagel. IT WAS HORRIBLE! I would like to ask everyone working there and anyone reading this, why would I order a peanut butter and jelly bagel if I was allergic?? That makes zero sense!!! On top of that, my other bagel was made with very light sauce, which made the sandwich hard to enjoy.
I also went out of my way the very next week to the Thunderbird location and ordered the same thing and had no problems with them making my meal for me and right.
In conclusion this location sucks because they could’ve addressed customers concerns but chose not to. I don’t have problems with people who make mistakes I have problems with those who don’t want to attempt to address or correct them and I blame most of it on the manager that day so I hope...
Read moreI have gone to this location for years. I was such a regular that the previous staff knew me on a first name basis and got my order ready without me even asking. I just walked in and paid. They were amazing! Unfortunately, that entire staff has quit from the manager on down. Now every person in the location is new. The place has steadily gone downhill for the last 6-7 months. Firstly, it's dirty: trash on the floor, counters and tables sticky and not kept up. Secondly, food: they're consistently out of bagels by 9am. This is a bagel shop RIGHT?! I'm sure management is trying to cut corners and waist but instead cutting their own throats. I watched people turn around and walk out because every bagel bin was empty today except two. Not the first time. Lastly, the service: Today I ordered a breakfast bagel sandwich and a large iced tea. The store had maybe 5 customers in it. None in line while I was. The sandwich was completed and given to me fairly quickly. I waited about 5 more minutes for my iced tea. I finally asked for it. The employee said, "it will be a minute!" She proceeded to do 10 other tasks instead of helping the customer right in front of her. She seemed irritated that I'd asked. I waited another 15 minutes for an iced tea to simply be poured and my food to become cold. I'm done with this location. Staff and...
