Tacos Veganos — Restaurant in Avondale

I normally order from this location but today was my last straw! The last time I came I ordered a carne asada burrito and they served me a decent sized burrito but it had literally pieces of broken plastic in the food. I should have learned then but love the business so much and they handled my complaint promptly then and remade my food. I ordered today(( Friday)) hoping I could get a little relief from a long day at work and order from here to save me some time and effort but lemme tell u I should have saved my money. I ordered via door dash and when my food came the portion that was served in literally half the size of what I normally recieve. I tried to call and complain and explain that this is the smallest amount of food I have ever been served and it wasn’t cheap. I was told I was going to get a call back to resolve the issue and never did. Their excuse we have set portion sizes and all the burritos come out the same but may be rolled different to appear smaller. But I took this burrito apart and all I got is basically rice and beans and the smallest amount of carne I have EVER seen. I’ve been debating whether or not to make this review but I feel that it is important to express my experience at this restaurant. My wife and I decided to try something new. We stopped here and ordered some taco platters which the staff and the service was really amazing. Once we got our food, we thoroughly enjoyed the taste and textures of our tacos so much so that I could not believe that it was vegan. I was fully satisfied with our meal and was happy with my choice.

Although everything did not stay as well as I would have hoped. My wife and I ended up getting sick and later that evening ended up vomiting up the entire platter and we were vomiting for two additional days. Seeing as this was the only meal we ate that day I had no other choice, but to assume it was the taco platter that we ate.

I have to say again that the service and the staff were amazing and that if it were not for this incident I would have gave this place five stars. But unfortunately, due to becoming sick from the food I have no choice, but to give...

I am a massive fan of the original Tacos Veganos so when my wife and I heard this one opened we were so excited since it's close to us. It was a terrible experience all around. First the food was so bad. The tortilla chips were incredibly stale, the tortilla shell on my burrito was so stale it hurt to bite into, and my wife's burrito just had a really bad taste to it. She took two bites and got a sick stomach and had to throw the rest away. On top of the bad food it was freezing inside and so windy from all the fans that our napkins wouldn't stay on the table and my wife was shivering. To finish it off the service wasn't helpful at all, they took our order then never said another word to us. Not even a "how's everything tasting?" Even when they looked directly at us as we threw away almost all of the food we ordered. This was really disappointing. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because I know how good Veganos could be bc of the original. Hopefully they get it...
