My partner and I recently visited this Five Guy's location, and it turned out to be quite an interesting experience. After a long and tiring day, we decided to grab a quick bite for dinner, including something for our beloved dog. Our usual order consists of two cheeseburgers for ourselves, along with an additional 2-3 patties for our furry companion. To our surprise, the manager, Julian informed us that we could only purchase one extra patty per burger, and it was mandatory for the patty to be placed within the burger. We were not allowed to request for the patty to be placed on the side, even when we asked for it to be unseasoned. This policy caught us off guard, because we are regular customers at Five Guys and we usually order the patties on the side for our little guy.
Among a series of other things this manager did, he made a mistake in our order as one of the burgers was missing an extra beef patty. We brought this to his attention and requested an additional patty. Shockingly, he responded by threatening to call the police, an entirely unwarranted reaction. This incident left us feeling discriminated against, particularly because of our racial background.
We patiently waited for the police to arrive, and once they did, we explained the situation to them. The officers attentively listened to our side of the story and understood our perspective. They requested the manager to address our concern and provide a refund. However, the manager claimed that the responsibility lay with the general manager, who would be available the next morning. Despite the manager's attempt to force us to collect the food, the police firmly intervened, asserting that we were not obligated to take the food if we did not want it.
Frustrated by the whole ordeal, we decided to go to In-N-Out instead. We ordered 6 plain beef patties for $6.60, a double double protein style burger, and 2 animal style fries, among other items. The experience at In-N-Out was hassle-free, and we ended up paying less than what we usually spend at Five Guys.
It is clear that the manager, Julian, needs to greatly improve his customer service skills. Selling burgers is one thing, but providing a memorable experience and treating all customers with respect is what truly fosters customer loyalty. Regrettably, this incident has led us to take our business elsewhere, and we will also share our negative experience with those...
Read moreBurgers are really tasty! Fries are really good too, you can taste the peanut oil when you eat them. According to them they use peanut oil to fry their food. But do not worry it does not make it taste like a peanut butter sandwhich or in that sort. Burgers are huge and filling. The fries portion is also great and the taste is good. Slighty Salty crispy fries as it should be. Shakes are awesome as well! Creamy and tasty. If you are expecting to pay "fast food" burger prices, you will not. It is a little on the upper side but the quality is obvious. I ordered the bacon cheese burger all the way. Pretty much their biggest burger and it was about 10 dollars not including fries or drink. On that note, "little" in front of the burger's name simply means one patty but the burger is exactly the same size as the double. So if you want double patty do not order anything with "little" in front of the name. My wife and I ordered a bacon cheese burger all the way "double" for me, little bacon cheeseburger for her, one regular fries to share, little cheeseburger for my son "2 year old" which he hardly ate any of it so I had to finish it and a shake just to try it. We ordered to go and planned to eat at home so we did not get drinks. Total was about 30 dollars. Not bad in my opinion. My sons burger I ate it a few hours after because my meal got me full. For our first time, we wanted to try out a little of everything it was great. Next time I think ill try their hot dogs. For sure...
Read moreExtremely disappointed. Came in and ordered, watched 2 of the employees preparing food with their masks hanging off their faces, they’re talking to each other and touching multiple things (including their dirty aprons) then touching the food they’re preparing. I went up an asked the cashier why they have masks on if they’re not being worn properly, only one employee out of the 4 was wearing his masks correctly and he agreed with me. After I asked the question the female employee looked up at me and put it on her face properly and proceeded to make the food with her gloves she just touched her mask with. As she was preparing the food, she had an attitude, she was throwing the toppings on the burgers and pushing the receipt orders like she was irritated. I continued to wait for my order, watched the fry cook give my order to someone else, the person opened the burger realized it wasn’t his order, brought it back to the counter, the employee then threw away the fries and added more to the bag and then told me my order was ready. Gave me the bag, I opened the burger and could see where the other customer had opened and the foil and must have touched the top of the bun because there was a hole in it probably from his finger not to mention all of the toppings falling outside of the bun and into the foil. Spent $13.00 on a meal I didn’t even eat. Extremely disgusted and...
