If you want a new style or a simple everyday look. Go somewhere else, find someone else, or for kicks and giggles, try doing it yourself. The end result might be better than the experience I had. I made 2 appointments, 1 for my daughter who wanted to try a new trendy yet simple chic style and 1 for my son. I was so excited to see their website offered fades. It's under the Clipper Cut option. More on that in a minute...Our stylist was professional and friendly, looking back on it now it's possible she was a beginner/new stylist and that's OK, everyone has to start some where, but if you don't feel confident, or comfortable with cutting to an individuals faces then please, please say something especially before you chop off over 3 inches of a young ladies hair!! My daughter was in TEARS, and she hated the cut. Once we got home, I started styling it and noticed it was super uneven and jagged all throughout...As for my son she started his fade and it was beyond bad, that's when I realized she had no idea what she was doing the fade lines were very visible not smooth or a fade at all. I took I picture to show his dad since he couldn't be there. I politely asked her if she could smooth it out a bit more. I wanted to make sure I wasn't overthinking it. That's when the senior stylist came over. She was very aggressive with me from the start.. she said, in a matter of fact, way. "What are we doing over here?! I explained the style I wanted for my son, and she said that they are not barbers and they are LICENSED cosmetologist," and for services like that, I need to take him to a barber. I was confused, shocked, and a little taken back by her approach. I had to question myself... did I make this young stylist feel bad? Was I rude, demanding, or aggressive?! No, that's not me. I deal with people and the public every day. I fully understand that with the proper communication skills, we can resolve so much and alleviate further conflicts. She tells me she is taking over to smooth out all the lines and continues to talk to me like a child. She explained that they don't have the tools for this job. They need a straight razor?! I know it is a lie because he is under 10, and NOONE has ever used a straight razor on him. As she took him back and proceeded to wash his hair with this frustrated demeanor. I try to bridge the gap and find a resolve to whatever frustration she may be having since my son is in the middle of his haircut. I tell her, is there something I did wrong?! I'm confused because the website clearly says you guys do fades under clipper cuts. She calms down a bit. As the other stylist looked over at her for her response. She said that they just are not barbers, and for that, you need a barber, again with the straight razor and blah, blah, because she was not making any sense talking in circles.
To my fellow consumers, know that your dollar is your vote. People who mistreat and abuse your kindness because they think your kind and stupid are selling themselves short.
So, I will honestly share the mistakes I made. There were a few. This way, you dont experience what I did.
1st mistake, booking with their salon, 2nd staying and allowing them to finish a mediocre job, and 3rd that I actually paid for this poor service. I had no idea you could refuse to pay if...
Read moreI live for makeup and shopping at Ulta and Sephora. I'm a diamond member and visit the Litchfield store in Goodyear atleast once to twice a week. Unfortunately when you buy as much makeup as I do. You will return a few items and i was treated horrible. I unfortunately had issues with a friend who started stealing my makeup and returning my items for cash. When that person used my receipts all those items went under my account as returns. So when you combine those returns with my own legit returns it looks bad. I believe when the sales ladies saw my return history info they decided to give me a hard time and refuse to help me even tho customer service said to. I miss placed my receipt and called customer service and Unfortunately they were unable to find my purchase but ive had this happen with a few purchases not being logged into or showing up on my insider account. I've never had to return any of those items so i had no issues and they said its just a glitch with the system. So customer service emailed the store saying what had happened and to please give me a store credit but they still refused. One women even said awww so your returning another item and gave me a sad face then turned to the other girls and rolled her eyes and started laughing and walked off. At this point I had tears in my eyes. When the women said she couldnt help me i was so embarrassed I left my items I had picked out to purchase on the counter and walked out. The manager opened the locked door and I tried to explain why my return history looked the way it did but she had already made up her mind i was a scammer of some sort. She replied that it's ok to do returns to a minimum but when you over do it thats a problem and shut the door. I'm so embarrassed about the transaction that I think I'm done shopping at Ulta from now on. I feel that i should be able to return an item if I don't care for it and shouldn't be asked why im returning it from another employee that isn't even taking care of me. NO ONE SHOULD FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE TO KEEP A PURCHASE. I work hard for my money so if im going to buy a product i better be pleased with it. A lot of foundation and primers claim to do all these magical things. So you buy it and 1 out of 5 claims arent met. I take those types of items back and should be treated with respect when doing so. So if your not sure about an item but you decide to take the plunge and give that item a try and dont like it. Dont go to the Goodyear store and expect to be treated with respect because returning products arent acceptable at that location. I never write reviews unless i find a holy grail product or spoke to someone who tried everything they could to give me an answer to a question or was very polite. Im proud to say ive never given a place of business a bad review until tonight. I'm 34 years old and this is my first bad...
Read moreMgr Dusty may have won the argument today BUT she lost 3 customers FOREVER!!! For my very FIRST experience at ULTA … it started off great I don’t wear makeup ever but my mom told me about the “Lash Enhancing Serum” that can be bought on AMAZON but she told me ULTA has it and sometimes you can get a good deal. My moms lashes look amazing so when I got the there I found a deal with a mascara combo for $25 … Perfect so I can try it out, when I got to the check out Cashier Lizzeth was beyond Amazing great customer service and she in formed me my item was on sale !!! I’m like really she’s like yes girl buy one get on FREE!!! Me and my mother got super excited. she took us over to the display and showed us all the different things that were on sale for buy one get one. There was a large display of all kinds of different things creams mascara concealers, but I was only interested in the lash serum because I don’t wear make up… I asked her was there a limit she said absolutely not . So I picked up more LASH -MD But when I got to the counter, they were not on sale… she was confused and so was I because there was a giant display of them as soon as you walked through the door with a huge sign that said buy one get one free she talk to the assistant manager and let her know what was going on, so I walked up to the display where the assistant manager was standing and explain exactly what I picked up and her attitude immediately got snappy, not friendly no smile inform me that something must’ve been stocked incorrectly … I explained that they should honor what the display says, and she told me she would only cover one I asked for the store manager… Which was no help at all horrible customer service no smile, horrible attitude. She even rolled her eyes as if I was taking the serum out of her purse… I explained that it didn’t seem fair that they would not honor the price considering there was multiple in the spot showing by one get one free she said I’m not gonna do it so I was charging additional $11… so I will probably never go into an Ulta again my mother was upset. She did not think that it was fair either and agreed to only buy it on Amazon from now on and My Best Friend also agreed the same way so they gained three customers and lost them in the same moment because of bad management, not the price … my mother spent over $100 because Lizzeth up sold us when we only planned in to go get one item. She also opened a credit card. You would think $11 would not be worth losing three customers, but to MGR. Dusty it was!!! It wasn’t just that she didn’t honor the price. It was her rudeness not once that she apologized or did her assistant. They made me feel like it was my fault or I stocked it in the wrong spot. I would never come back to this place. I don’t recommend...
