I have been here several times and have thought long and hard before adding a review. But, I decided, yes, because I don't want anyone to feel like I felt. Every time I had been there. No one I mean no one asked if I needed any help or had any questions, and I did. I'm new to crafting and diy. I have been there twice to pick up online orders and both times the attendant lady, seemed to barely have the courtesy to give me the package and seemed annoyed when I asked for help. Once she was just standing in the middle of the entrance WATCHING someone else remove xmas decorations. I asked her for help because she was obviously not busy. She looked at me like I'm dumb. Went to the same place I looked (package wasn't there) then huffed over to this other locker area in front to give me my package. I didn't know it was gonna be there. Hands it over and doesn't say have a nice day or thank you, I was the one to say those things. And if you bring cash they make you wait in a line with 7 other people while 1 cashier handles cash transactions. But 2 people are standing next to the automated check out. I know how to use it, but in my instance I needed to pay with cash. Overall not a...
Read moreI have observed a recent trend among csr retailers &/or store associates, and it looks an awful lot like apathy. Or even something like indifference (?) but in either case, there's much to be desired by the consumer in the way of good old-fashined customer service. This particular store's floor associates are as follows: disgruntled; lost and confused; super preoccupied; and finally, missing in action. I feel depressed whenever I go shopping here and usually end up going elsewhere. Is it clean? Sure. Well-stocked? Meh...depends. Low prices? Some sales are pretty sweet, but I think they are overpriced in general. Also, I rarely go out of my way to shop here--it's a sort of, "since it is right here..." spur-of-the-moment decision I make every now and again.
Hopefully the reader(s) of this review will understand what I'm trying to convey here: this Michael's is not Happy Girl Central by any means. If you need assistance, chances are the person(s) you ask won't have any idea where to find what you're looking for, nor will they care about the significance of what you're trying...
Read moreNormally I enjoy going in to Michael's. Today however was not one of those times. I had placed an order online and came in to pick it up. We are in the midst of a pandemic so I figured curbside would be a good option. Well, there really was no designated curbside parking available at this location. Maybe I was supposed to pull up in front of the store and just block the driving area? So, I went inside the store to pick up my item. I pressed the button alerting someone that I was there. But, nobody came to help me. One associate just walked right past without looking or acknowledging me. I pressed the button again, still no one. Eventually a tall gentleman came walking towards me but was also going to walk right past without acknowledging I was there. I stopped him and asked if anyone was working the online pick up area. He then proceeded to stand within my 6ft bubble of space and explain to me he was the area manager, would go talk to store manager and find an associate for me. An associate did come assist me after this interaction, but I was highly disappointed in...
