This morning, I visited my local Dunkin’ Donuts location (2519 N Main St Suite A, Summerville, SC). My intent was simple, to purchase two toasted coconut donuts, a definite longtime favorite of mine. However, I was promptly informed at the drive-thru that the toasted coconut donut has been discontinued. I left without making a purchase.
What puzzles me most is what possible justification is there for this action? On numerous prior visits, often before 9:00 a.m., I was told that this specific donut had already “sold out for the day”. That suggests strong, consistent demand. If that is the case, it raises a logical question: Why would a popular and fast-selling product be removed from the menu?
Discontinuing a high-demand item runs counter to basic principles of providing customer satisfaction. This decision diminishes customer loyalty, especially when many patrons, like me, come specifically for that item.
I respectfully urge Dunkin’ corporate to reconsider its decision. Until that time I will be driving the extra three miles to visit Krispy Kreme doughnuts as they continue to sell their...
Read moreQuite possibly the worst service I have ever received. Honestly, laughably bad. I ordered a sandwich for my wife and I. After they brought my wife's over, they informed me that mine was still on the truck. I could barely understand what the server said. She mumbled "you want your money back" I felt i was left without a choice so I said yes. She acted irritable and said she had to get the manager. The manager was even more of a peach. She came to the counter, rolled her eyes and asked if I wanted my money back. I asked if I could get a different sandwich. She said " What do you want" I found another sandwich which was about a dollar less. She yelled back to the back " He wants a crossoint " and started walking away. I asked is there a price difference? She rolled her eyes again and said " It's like 40 cents. Do you want your 40 cents? I don't care about the money but what a way to treat customers. I believe the managers name was Dana. Cane Bay Dunkin is Excellent for anyone looking for a coffee and a donut but do not go to the Carnes...
Read moreLast Friday morning went through drive thru to order 10 wake up wraps and 25 munchkins for my coworkers. FYI, when I got to the speaker box, I noticed that 75% of their items were crossed off of the menu board indicating they were out of them. Good thing for me, the items I wanted were still available. And wake up wraps are easy enough. I barely got out that I would like the wraps when I could hear the people in the back say 'Are you effing kidding me?' The lady taking orders said I would have to come inside. After sitting in that line for an eternity, I told her nevermind. I'd take my money somewhere else. My job is working with below a skeleton crew, right now. But I can't imagine if I ever tried to refuse help to a customer or act like the people in the back of that Dunkin store in Carnes Crossroads, I'd deservingly be out of a job. The lack of customer service there is appalling. I will not go back. And I will let as many people know...
