This place could use a little cleaning up. It used to be awesome but it seems the attention has focused to survival for profit. There should be more than one bartender running the bar and 5 employees playing around behind the bar while the bar is loaded! One bar tender working and the other ones walk by and look at you and keep walking around the bar and into the crowd (no food or drink in hand either) I'm not sure what half of the employees do while they are here. It seems their job is to socialize and chill. Always walking around with no purpose or direction and when they do they are chatting with another employee, on their phone, or showing a nipple to a group of guys on the front porch (not making that up) (not complaining about that part the view was great) But 10 minutes to get a drink from the bar?You can tell who the employees are every 20 minutes or so when they get on the bar to dance, but it seems like that may be all they are there for. Maybe that's their actual job? I could be wrong. But hanging out, drinking, AND getting paid all at the same time is not a job I'm familiar with... We go as a group to chill with our friends but I have an issue wasting our time hanging out together with friends if we have to stand in a pile to order drinks while people screw off. Side note, don't put up a side bar to help out if you wait in that line and you finally order... LOL and you hear. "you have to go to the main bar for that". OMFG. Lol. Make it a BYOB why don't ya?!! I'm...
Read moreDefinitely an interesting culture. Very large dance floor. Went on Friday. Lots of dancing.
Edit: April 20, 2019. Went on Saturday with visiting friends and family hoping to show a more dancing like venue. First surprise was the cover at the door. This we did not mind because we were informed that this was for the live band at the booth. Was VERY disappointed while there however. The live band (Swift Creek Band) played practically all ballads to which very few people were even remotely able/interested in dancing to. Even their covers to popular dance tunes were played slower and less engaging. The band had talent... Or at least potential, but it was disappointing for what we saw. During the band breaks there was significant increase in dancing, which we thoroughly appreciated. These breaks were short. We ended up leaving about 2 hours after arriving due to the lack of dancing music (other than during breaks). We hope when we come in future visits this will either change and more upbeat music will be playing.

Read moreWhat a great show. Confederate Railroad was awesome, and Eddie Bush and Charleston Express were great. Have to say my other half had some reservation about the venue having never been to the Honky Tonk Saloon and reading a few reviews. However after ordering tickets, I called to ask if they had any accommodation for handicaps. I got the voicemail and as I was getting ready to leave a message I had a call coming in. It was the Manager Bob who apologized for not getting to the phone in time. He told me he would help with parking us in the lot and met us as we pulled in. He then upgraded our tickets to V.I.P. The only thing I would somewhat agree was that the servers were very busy and sometimes there was a brief delay in service but not enough to be a big deal. The food was fresh and good. We didn't run across a single staff person who wasn't friendly and accommodating. THANK YOU Bob and crew for a great experience we will...
