Big fat NO on this location coming from me. Stick with me here, bc this one's a good one. Not only was the manager a completely unprofessional and belligerent, but the food actually SUCKED too. I wasn’t going to post a review, until the lady (owner, short/blonde/old/cross around her neck) behind counter boiled over, so here I am. 👋🏻
What sucks is that I've grown up in this area, we'd always go to the two stores in Summerville (go there, its worth the drive). The food has always been good, overpriced, but good. Couldn't ever complain there. Whether it was a family event, or after a baseball game. I have many cherished memories at those locations. This one, not so much.
As soon as I walked in you could feel the whole vibe was off. The poor kid behind the counter was new, so I tried talking to him, encouraging him, small talk etc like any decent human, and explained that it was okay I've been there and to take his time.
That's when the wicked witch of the Saint James Ye Ole Fashion came riding down the aisle, beelining to me and the new kid. Big yikes. She straight up (under her breath, but I could STILL hear her) tried to call this poor boy out on not knowing the menu. It's his first week what did she expect? He tried to explain he didn't have time, and kid I feel for you being in school and working your first job it’s rough. She should've either, 1. Cut you some slack or 2. Wait to NOT BE AROUND CUSTOMERS to demean her own staff. Now that I think about the whole staff looked like their souls had been sucked out. So when she, instead of him, asked if my order was for here or to go, I said to go and told her she made me VERY UNCOMFORTABLE and that there was a time and a place for everything and that NO human being deserves to be spoken down to like she did this poor kid right in front of me. Who knew people in hospitality were so bad at being hospitable.
As you can imagine, she didn't like that. But in her defense, most socially unaware people don't understand social skills or basic human rights cough cough respect but I digress.
She death eyed me and my child the rest of the experience, which took over half an hour. Then as I sat at the bar and waited for my food to be bagged up, I asked the nice server girl if my child's meal came with a drink. I guess the mgr didn't like that I was talking so she bee-lined straight for me AGAIN. She leaned over the counter raised her voice, filled with a blind fury, "Haven't you said your peace? Get out! Don't ever come back here! Go ahead and put it on the internet it what you MILLENIALS do." I laughed a little under my breath, and told her to calm down her vibe before she came at me (she didn't like that either, I’m sure she said more but I don’t care to listen at this point. You can’t beat a dead horse). So, after filling my drink, grabbing my chips, and walking out I noticed, oh no, we forgot out ice cream.
She didn't like that either. As soon as we walked back in I swear her eyes popped out of her bleached blonde head. Needless to say we didn't get the ice cream.
If you're reading this as an employee, get out now. You're better than that and shouldn't have to deal with a 'manager' like that. (Or owner w/e).
If you're reading this as a patron, think before entering, especially if you're not afraid to stand up for other humans.
If you're reading this and you're the owner, maybe pray for some patience and a mindful tongue. You should nurture young minds not publicly demean them.
Please don't eat here, the food is overpriced and the mgmt is lacking.

Read moreOn Sunday, July 19, this establishment was open only for drive through, which I appreciate due to our nation’s current pandemic. Unfortunately the positives end there. The menu for the establishment is unavailable online, and when you attempt to locate the menu, it results in a 404 error. Ye Olde Fashioned website. Consequently, we waited in line in the drive thru to attempt to order ice cream for 40 min. When we finally pulled up to the window, the flavor list was on a sign several feet beyond the ordering window. In order to view the sign from our car, we had to drive many feet past the order window, and then shout to the server because the car behind us pulled up so close, we could not reverse and access the ordering window. The list of flavors that we viewed had no description, other than the invented names of the ice creams. Again, no electronic menu was made available for convenience or efficiency. Once we finally ordered, we were asked to pull around to the front of the “restaurant” in spaces labeled with vinyl chairs and hand written signs. While waiting in the parking lot, we saw no fewer than 8 employees working inside. We waited for 15 minutes to receive 4 single-cup ice creams (not sure why it takes 8 employees 15 minutes to scoop 4 scoops of ice cream). Upon receiving our 4 single-cup ice creams delivered to our vehicle, none were labeled. We had to guess and distribute ice cream cups to each of the guests, which poses a SIGNIFICANT health hazard to the guest with a nut allergy in our party. Our order had a pistachio ice cream ordered, and an peanut butter ice cream ordered. Without labels, we had to sniff and taste every single ice cream in our order to safely determine which ice cream was which. This restaurant has previously received positive reviews. Read moreI frequently go to this location and NEVER had an issue, an approx 30 minute wait ti.e is usual here....but this time was way different. Got there around 9. Was maybe 3rd or 4th in line at the drive thru and maybe 3 more cars followed behind me before closing. 45 minutes later myself and 3 other cars were still waiting. I began to worry when I seen all the employees Cleaning up ND everyone who was I. The lobby had been served and left. I approached the door and explained I had been waiting and asked how much longer the wait for my food would be. The employee told me to give him a minute and walked off. He then proceeded to bring the food of the other 3 cars that had been behind me. I waited another 10 minutes and got upset when I seen them lock the front door. I approached the door again and they told me to go back through the drive thru. I was very irritated at this point because it's been a hour and I was literally being ignored. Once at the window the employee told me I needed to "be nice" after I explained to him that I had been waiting and they gave me no explanation nor were they even preparing my food. Once I replied that they were not nice to me he closed the window and walked away. The manager followed behind him and locked the window and walked away. I was extremely offended and upset. I've NEVER been treated like this....as if I had done something to them! I drove back to the front and had to yell through the doors that I demanded a refund. After waiting another 5 minutes an employee comes to the door and hands me my $30 and closes and locks the door. No apology no explanation.
