We've gotten takeout from Saito Kitchen twice now, and while it's not bad, it's not good. The first time, I got their General Tso's chicken. As noted by another reviewer, it was panko-breaded chicken breast, sliced into strips, rather than chunks of breast or thigh meat in batter. The sauce was very vinegary and not very flavorful, and there wasn't much of it. It was not at all what I would expect out of a General Tso.
The second time, I got a three-roll sushi lunch combo. I tried the spicy salmon roll, Boston roll, and sweet potato roll. The spicy salmon roll was 50% panko bread crumbs, and not at all spicy/flavorful. It was just bland and pasty damp bread crumbs. The Boston roll (shrimp, cucumber, lettuce, mayo) was similarly bland -- the shrimp was dry and got lost in the other ingredients. The sweet potato was okay, but bland again, and I think a bit undercooked.
If Saito Kitchen can up its quality, it would be a great spot for a cheap lunch. As it is, you're better off heading to Market Basket...
Read moreAs someone that is NOT getting paid to leave a positive review, I tried this place for the first time last night. Hoping to find a place close to my home with good Chinese food. Sadly, I was disappointed! Ordered the Gen Tso's Chicken, and requested it Spicy! It resembled NOTHING like the same dish I've gotten from a multitude of restaurants over the years. The chicken was small "strips" of chicken like product, soggy and had none of the spice and flavor customarily associated with the dish. I ordered some chicken sticks, for my pup, as she always eats with me. She was hesitant at first, but ate 1/2 of one stick. The Crab Rangoon's, were nothing like expected. They seemed to be nothing but cream cheese, and crumbly wrapper.
Sadly, I'll keep looking for a good Chinese restaurant...
Read moreBest Chinese food I've ever had. The place is always very clean, staff are wonderful, and the food comes fast. I love that all the food has its its own flavor. I usually don't like Chinese because I feel it all tastes the same, cooked in the same grease but this restaurant is totally different! I don't know what they use to cook the food in but it always tastes amazing and it's never too greasy. I love the fried shrimp with the coconut sauce! It's always perfectly crisp even with take out. The attention to detail and perfectly cooked food really makes this place stand out. So thankful this is a part of the...
