I had a really bad experience this morning at Burger King, and this place turned my entire day around. Not only was the staff quick to seat and serve us but they were very kind and attentive. The atmosphere is very VERY relaxing and I can actually say it was therapeutic to come here. I closed my eyes, i rested and I smiled as I ate the amazing Tonkotsu ramen, it was most definitely the best ramen I've had i can remember, the natural flavors all come together absolutely wonderfully. If you like Edemame and would like to to be perfectly prepared and not undercooked come here for sure, they even added this delicious sea salt onto them which made eating them very nice. The green tea made everything i tasted taste even better and is perfect for a hot side beverage and palette cleanser, you can really taste the ramens broth flavors too this way. I had a lava cake that was so fluffy and presented so wonderfully I couldn't help but steal bites from my husband who ordered it, he is a man of few words when it comes to the taste of food, but he really enjoyed everything as well and we look forward to stopping in again. As I most definitely have found a special place in my heart for this restaurant, i had a absolutely enchanting time and I finished all my ramen, which is usually very hard fore to do but I literally couldn't stop eating it, i almost cried because I was so happy to eat something so wonderful and feel so relaxed and jovial as I did. I really appreciate the wait staff, cooks, and everyone who ever had something to do with the work and wonder that happens at this very beautiful restaurant. Please stop in when your having a bad day, i promise you will...
Read moreGreat food, service is A+, and I enjoyed the piano music. Very relaxing while we enjoyed our food. It was packed with flavor and lots of toppings the spicy shrimp ramen was just right, not too spicy, but packed a flavor bomb. The triple pork was delicious and truly unexpected nothing like it in Grand Forks. It was my first time here and won't be the last. Great Japanese and other Asian goodies. SEPT 24th - You eat with your eyes first and the Sushi Chef out did themselves. The flavor in both rolls was true amazing, you tasty each flavor but they all come together in a flavor bomb. This is a must try if you like great sushi. NOV 12th, fantastic once more. JAN 7th, tried the spicy miso ramen and it's fantastic. Not to spicy, packed with flavor and the pork belly melted in my mouth. I could've drank a gallon of the broth. The BBQ Pork with kimichi was also outstanding. The pork was grilled to perfection and the rice picked up the flavor. If you haven't tried Kaizen yet, it's a "MUST STOP" restaurant. AUG 18th, the new menu items are awesome. The Khao Soi ramen and the Sukhothai ramen was a taste of Thailand. Both were packed with flavor and the toppings were outstanding. What are you waiting for, this is a must "try" restaurant. EASTER UPDATE: Best ramen in town. Fresh, flavorable and satisfying. Waiting for their new resturants to open soon, Asian Fusion has me...
Read moreThe ramen is the unique offering and genuinely good. Annoyingly, other than the notable and quite good ingredients added to the ramen, spices etc, the noodles themselves seem little different than Top Ramen or similar that you'd get for 25 cents at the supermarket. However, the broth, spicing, and added meats make it quite good. I tried their sushi once and will only try it once. Small rolls, rice not really holding together, tasted okay, and pricey for what you get. In the grand tradition of Asian restaurants everywhere, don't go here for a dessert. I've never been able to figure that one out other than perhaps desserts aren't important in Asian cuisine. I wasn't impressed with the appetizers. Small in size and quantity, I also suspect they came from a food supply truck. Good but not worth recommending. Yellow wooden benches don't really light my fire as far as atmosphere goes. Service was prompt, pleasant but bland. Honestly, I'll take that any day of the week. Their entrees are actually quite good, I would recommend the barbeque pork. The heat was actually enough to raise my interest. Not cheap but good.
In summary, not exactly the mecca of high end Asian food on the prairie but I'll definitely be back. It does hit the spot when the...
